Arus and Allies

Planet Arus

Once a beautiful planet, now decimated by over a decade of war. I imagine the original settlers of this world were trying to recreate a sort of King Arthur’s Camelot. Setting up a feudal system of government and living off the code of chivalry. The people were happy and lived that way for generations, in harmony with each other and the planet. King Zarkon, needing the resourses of the planet attacked, destroying everything in his path. Leaving the planet just a shadow of what it was before.

The Castle

is a huge mystery to them all. When the team first arrived it lay in ruins. Barely standing, was a castle out of Earth’s own past only there on Arus instead. How it was still standing was a mystery. It was finally razed to the ground by one of Zarkon’s attacks. But what happened then is still a mystery, for beneath the ground lay a new castle waiting for the right time to be revealed. The layout of the structure inside identical to the one that stood before, in fact some rooms somehow survived intact and remain in the new castle. But, there is nothing ancient about this castle.

It is a modern super-fortress, with all the latest technologies and weaponry's ready to defend it. King Alfor’s spirit instructed Allura and Coran in how to raise the new castle from its hiding space and they do. Today there stands a mighty castle ready to defend against any attack.

Castle Control

The brain of the castle. This is where all the castles defenses and sensors are controlled. It is also where the team can gain access to Voltron by the Lion shutes, taking each of them from Castle control to their Lions' hiding places.

Lion Monument

Standing tall and proud, it is the gateway to the bridge that leads over the water to the Castle of Lions. Atop it sits the mighty Black Lion, ready to defend when called upon.

Galaxy Garrison

The Galaxy Alliance is the Earth's version of the space UN. “Formed to maintain peace throughout the universe.” I imagine Galaxy Garrison is the military strong arm of The Galaxy Alliance.

Planet Pollux

Is the sister planet to Arus. At some point they have a shared history. One line dividing into two, each settling a different planet. Each with a similar feudal government. The rulers all of the same bloodline. There was an ongoing feud between the two worlds. But now, due to the war, they have managed to put their petty disagreements aside and have joined forces to defend against Doom.

Planet Caspia
Another neighboring planet and one that I have decided played a important role in Keith’s past in one of my fiction arcs.

Doom
Is a dying world. Once it too was beautiful, but now due to generations of abuse the world lies barren. The people of Doom survive off of others. They must import everything in order to survive. They must defeat many other worlds in order to keep the supply lines running.
