If you've kept up with this website you know that lots of famous people have lived in the Springs...Woodrow Wilson, Robert Heinlein and our latest find...."Peanuts" cartoonist Charles M. Schultz!! He lived here in 1951 and left a wall of this El Paso street home covered with Peanuts prototype art.
Wikipedia wrongly locates his home on North Franklin but the Special Collections librarian at Penrose found it to be 2321 North El Paso St. The home in the Bonneyville area is a nice example of John Bonforte's post war homes. Schultz apparently belonged to an art club while he briefly resided here.

Meanwhile, back in ROSWELL........you recall the streetcar museum in Roswell..........don't forget its most famous citizen---Richard "GOOSE" Gossage, soon to be inducted into the MLB HALL OF FAME. "Ricky" grew up in this blue collar section of the Springs.

Goose grew up at 2715 Beacon St but I'm not sure if this is the original building.
