GT2toXS put all this together, I hope you don't mind!

Code 1) Buy in Toyota New Car Lineup 1
This code makes the desired car show up in the top left slot of the first page Toyota new car lot. You can properly preview the car, and select the color from those actually available. Statistics in that display are not always shown 100% accurately, but will be correct in the garage.

Note this is for the Nissan lot, because Toyota seemed problematic. Thanks to RogsR34UK for finding this for us.

(NEW!) Buy cars in Japanese version!

This is the "Buy at Toyota" code for the Japanese version, except you go to Tommy Kaira for the car:
Buy at Tommy kaira (NTSC J)

D01C33C0  4118 -- Checks spot 4 for modded R33, if found then:801C32DC  XXXX ---- copies first half of car code to spot 1D01C33C0  4118 -- Again, if R33 in spot 4, then:801C32DE  XXXX ---- copies second half of car code to spot 1
Thanks to Unsprung Wraith for translating this.

This code does require you to pay full book value for each car, so using some variation of a lotsa cash code may be needed.

GS Pro owners can effectively use this code in the memory editor by first getting to the Toyota new car lineup 1 screen in the game, and then patching the two locations for the car code. Get it right, and the price will change--if it changes to zero, a mistake was made in one of the car codes.

GT2toXS came up with this code, by starting with the one which follows, and doing some work with the GS Pro memory editor.

Code 2) Buy Any Car Anywhere Codes
With this code you can go anywhere and get the car you choose. It does allow you some choice of the color of the car you buy. Note that, unlike the first code, the color choice for the car is not properly mapped. Also note that the car you appear to be buying is not changed by this code. However, once you get to your garage you will see that the code car was bought.

It has advantages over the used car code (in the next section) because you can race with the code on with no ill effects!! Plus there is no need to hunt for the car on odd days!

Also, this code should work with enhancement devices which do not have any equivalent to the D0 conditional codes required for the new car codes above.

All-in-all, I'd recommend using this code only if you cannot get Code 1 to work.

Code 3) Put the cars into the Honda Used Car Lot
This code will put the car you choose into the honda used car lot for purchase, after buying the car go back to the main menu and save, don't try to race with this code on--you can't; the game will just lock up.

Note that the code is designed for use on day 1. On different days, the precise location of the Honda lot changes, and so if you use the code on some other day you will probably need to go searching the other lots to try and find your code car.

The code for the regular GS is:

1.0 disc
800B9320: XXXX
800B9322: XXXX

1.1 disc(?)
800B9690: XXXX
800B9692: XXXX

1.2 disc
800b98C0 XXXX
800b98C2 XXXX

GS Pro users can just use the memory editor to change the above locations while the game is at the Honda used car inventory screen. So, apart from the need to guess at the correct color code, this code is very convenient for Pro users.

Code 4) Old Hybrid Builders Technique puts car in garage slot 1:
With a GS Pro, using this code, you change the car in slot 1 of your garage to the car you want using the mem editor. A disadvantage, especially with tuned models is you really should match up all the individual parts too. This code is probably too clumsy for non-Pro GS use.
