Fall Training Rally
September 23rd, 2006

Presided by Stephanie Ahlm, Governor of Utah-Idaho District; noted by Xinmeng Zhang, Skyline Key Club Secretary.
Discussed and/or enacted:
Repetition of the Pledge of Allegiance and of the Key Club code of honor.
Lieutenant governors; and district secretary, webmaster, and treasurer, as well as governor introductions.
"Serve Up a Storm" icebreaker.
District motto: "Together we can."
Membership development icebreaker: a human pyramid representing the layers of Key Club. Members are the foundation of the club (then officers, then the district board).
Membership Development Tips:
Word of mouth.
Announcements at assemblies.
Newspaper articles.
Place club info in the counselors' office.
Tape club reminders everywhere.
Plan fun things to do at meetings (community speakers, play games, have food).
Pop Quiz about Key Club International.
The Key in Key Club stands for: Kiwanis Educating Youth.
Club dues can be collected and sent in from October 1st to December 1st .
Major Emphasis Program is a program of health awareness (2006-2007).
"Wellness, Nutrition, Play" -- the three points of "High Five for Health."
Ideas to promote MEP 06-07: flyers, health food cookouts, healthy recipe cookbooks, field day for kids, bike-a-thons, jump rope for heart healthy kids.
District Project: Building Relationships
Conventions (post-slideshow):
District 2006-2007: at Salt Lake on April 20th-22nd.
International (64th) 2006-2007: at Orlando's Walt Disney World in the Dolphin Hotel from July 15th-16th.
Broke into separate workshops.
