| The Coolness of the mountians and the deepness of the sea The blueness of the sky, The Eagles fly - They do not flee. The long amber grasses floating in the breeze, The smell of sweet flowers are just thoughts inside of me. where men would never venture, That's where the Eagle fly On top of purple mountains You can hear their shrieking cry. in the mountians are their nest Hidden from the prey. They won't be fools or be victims or fall along the way. They fight for life, these large strong birds. They won't let it pass them by. Wxamples in our life should be to fly where the Eagles fly. | It was cold and the leaves were turning shades of gold, yellow and red, The snow would soon be falling, food was geting low, there was no blankets the children would be cold mothers were worried grandmothers were barly able to move, having a hard time keeping up. The hearts of the brave young men saddend to know that there was nothing they could do as their familys were killed whail beining driven like cattle from their land. I have been on this trail of tears and felt in my heart the sadness of it all and to day I can still hear my people cry. |
