Michelle Skye
my work in and around the New Age and Pagan Communities
Religious Philosophy and Background
I am a Pagan Priestess with ten years experience following the Path of the Wise. Self-taught and self-initiated, I respect all spiritual paths, whether they be of a polytheistic or monotheistic nature. I agree with and utilize in my life and my magickal practice the Law of Return and the Wiccan Rede ~ "An it Harm None, Do What thou Wilt." I work to provide a positive example of a "Witch" to society, in order to break down stereotypes and misconceptions. I have personally experienced the power of spellwork, hands-on healing, positive thoughts, and affirmations to manifest wishes and dreams in reality.
Witchcraft Practice
I consider myself to be an eclectic Witch, with leanings toward the Green Path. I work closely with the forests and trees, environmentally and magickally. I do not follow a particular pantheon, but have connections with many deities from many different cultures. Some of the deities I have worked closely with are Rhiannon (Welsh), Aine (Irish), Brigid (Irish), Thor (Norse), Herne (English), and Asherah (Canaanite). The ancient cultures that most speak to me are the Irish and Welsh Celtic cultures, the Norse culture, and the Mesopotamian culture.
My favorite Sabbat is Samhain because of its powerful magickal potential. However, I enjoy the anticipation of Imbolc and Ostara, as well as the warmth and security of Midsummer. I was a solitary for several years before working consistently with my best friend. Over the last two years, we have started to include her children in the rituals. As of Samhain 2003, I began working with a group of magickally gifted women to celebrate the Sabbats and Esbats.
