I've lost a few friends along the way
They walked away, I never did
I changed the direction I was going in
They decided to take the opposite way
I don't hate them
I don't blame them
I almost don't resent them
They have decided to follow the crowd
They are the ones who are gonna end up as fuck-ups
They are mere followers, mere scapegoats
I made my choice
I did not give in
They made theirs
They did not want to fight for what is right
I've also lost friends for no particular reason
This is when you know who are the ones who really care
A real friendship cannot be harmed by trivial things
I'm glad I've lost those friends
And I'm also glad with the ones I have now
I know they care
I can always count on them to be there
And they can count on me to do the same.
