It took me years to grow up
And yet one can grow up clueless

I was mature well before the time
Way too responsible and alert for a teenager
But I was ignorant….

I've learnt that your dreams can come true
If you want those of others to go to ashes

I've learnt that the wealthy are not the only cause of poverty
Unconscious waste by the less wealthy can be a greater cause

I've learnt that criticisms are not only made by the frustrated
But also by the hypocritically so

I've learnt that it's easy to blame others
To get one's own faults off one's shoulders

I've learnt that not having enough leads to envy
But having too much leads to resentment

I've learnt that when people have nothing better to do
They stab their friends in the back

I've learnt that disillusionment will exist forever
In this sick, sad and hypocrite world of ours

I've also learnt that life is superficial and materialistic
People judges others as they breathe…
And stereotyping and labelling has become a cultural thing.

Long live the [stereotyped] green men from Mars.
Cos unfortunately, I'm also part of that world.
