My cats are definitely a challenge. Read on.
***While we were having a fight with GP, my sister who has weak nerves was afraid that Nino would run away [because the gate was let open]. So, she put Nino in the bathroom and shut the door.

Later, she came downstairs and on the verge of tears told us that Nino locked the goddamn door. Of course, mum and I thought that she did not manage to open the door so I checked it out myself and.the door would not open! Nino had indeed jumped and tried to open the door but instead, his claws probably got caught in the keys and he turned them. The door got locked.

We were on the outside of the door so it was impossible to try to detach the door. Thankfully, it was a flush door [no wood inside] so dad broke a piece of the door, put his hand in and turned the key.

Nino was shocked and had recoiled in the bathroom. That night, he did not sleep on the balcony cos he did not want to be locked again. Euh and theres still a hole in the door although we filled it in and covered it with contact paper!

***By the way, Calamity knows how to open windows and makes her way in the house at 3 a.m. although we have no cat flap and all doors and windows are supposedly shut.

***Calamity sleeps on the back, all four feet up [not vertically, but making an angle of 90 degrees] from time to time. Lovely.

***While eating, they leave a weeny bit in their bowl so that the other can eat it. So, you can see Nino eating in Calamitys bowl and vice versa.

***When they play-fight, they seem to know when they should stop and when they should start again. Theres no foul play.

***Im the only person Calamity does not bite.

***Nino sits on chairs exclusively.

***They could be in what seems to be a deep sleep but as soon as they hear Dad using a saucepan downstairs theyre out of sight and wailing at the top of their mew as if they havent eaten for years.

***Nino does not scream when we wash him up as long as the water is hot.

***Nino scratches a lot.

***Theyre very much loved by everyone here [mum, dad, debz and I] and we treat them like princesses and princes. They are spoilt brats.

***I wake up almost every morning with Calamity on the quilt between my feet, and El Nino usually sleeping on my stomach or next to it under the quilt.
