I did not think that anyone could grow
Up in the space of 3 seconds
Now I know they can
I still haven't have a full grasp of it all
I do not know if I'm happy or sad
But I'm light
I feel like I could fly
I feel like grinning
Is that because nothing has sunk in yet?

I've seen other people get hurt
I know that I'm grown up now
The way to react to hurt can determine how grown up you are
I have been observing this for years
I'm not 18 yet- but I know I'm and adult
I have been forced to grow up- just like others have
But at least this is beneficial to me
It happened when I needed it

I'm happy to have grown up
Or should I say sad?
