My mother never yelled at me, she was never angry it seemed. Queen Almira was revered as one of the greatest rulors of Clios since Queen Clio. I was told once that my mother had a brother, a twin named Alden. They said he died long before I was born. It was thought that the death of my uncle was the cause of Almira's attacks, that the two shared a star seed as well as genetics and the death of Alden weakened her. I became a representative at a very young age because of this. Instead of my mother traveling to the planets it was me, I carried out most of the duties while my mother gave instructions at home. So you see, I had to take responsibility at a very young age, there wasn't much use for playing dolls when it was necessary to forge treaties and make trade agreements before the end of the day. I grew up very fast and became known as the child queen. I had been taking over most of my mother's dutes since I was seven and at fourteen I took over them all when she had collapsed during a ceremony to pass on yet another duty and died.

Queen Almira's death was mourned throught the planets. My mother had always been gentle, it was as if no one could touch her, she walked on air. So her death was unbelievable, everyone had know my mother to be sick, but her passing had come so suddenly no one expected it. The planet stopped functioning for weeks as people tried to shake off the cloud of depression. I suppose mother would have thought it unecessary, the mourning. I remember what she would tell me when she was weak in bed. “If the world had ended in a day, life would still go on. People are born and die but life will always continue. Thats what makes us so precious, because we will still survive.”
