| Damien had it, Mamoru had it, Ellie had it, and even Chibi-Usa had it. The Chiba curse is a phenomenon where the children born withen earth royalty are inexpicably cursed with susceptibility to injury, kidnapping, and most notably, brainwashing. Was this a curse issued long ago? Or just plain bad luck? The first known incident occured by way of Beryl when she took a liking to brainwashing the Chiba males. Her one woman and all evil show started with the oldest Damien before working her way down to Mamoru. It is not known if, given half the chance Ellie would have succumbed to this wicked scheme. Several other times and on myny other occasions Mamoru is known to have the most serious dose of the Chiba curse. Easy target or just rotton luck It is nearly imposible to count the number of times Mamoru has either been kidnapped, injured, or succomed to evil. Of course Chibi Usa seemed to have inherited her father's lack of good fortune. This stunted pink haired princess started her youth off with a bang by being kidnapped and brainwashed and healed al withen one day. Her next visit to the past resulted in serious injury and being robbed of her heart crystal. Another known occasion was where this young Chiba was not only kidnapped, but also injured for the sake of a horse. In Banishing The Wiseman we found that Ellie was not immune to the curse either when she was kidnapped by none other then our most sinister foe, Wiseman. Coincidence? Or is there really such a thing as The Chiba Curse? There is damning evidence proving the possible existence of such. Is it inherited? Perhaps there is threat of still more Chiba's doomed to their heritage. Only time will tell |
