ATT 250 Referee T.Kettle

Trevor Peake's side came away from Barnet's Underhill Stadium with a creditable point against Arsenal. They were thankful to four good saves from City's Danish keeper who thwarted the Arsenal attack.

City could have taken an early lead but Gary McSheffrey's goal was ruled out for outside by referee Mr Kettle. After Arsenal had hit the bar, City came back into the match  and should have been two goals to the good in the opening period but the chances were not taken by Robert Betts and Delorge.

With Craig Strachan battling well in midfield, the Sky Blues pushed forward but City's strike force of Delorge and McSheffrey came up against a well marshaled Gunners offside tactic. This forced City to attempt long range efforts but Gunners custodian Stack was rarely troubled as the match petered out into a draw.
