Why are people so cruel

what can this little creature do

it hunts for food

to live and survive

not like you and i.

Big bushy tail

and oval eyes

russet in color

with tips of white

For some strange reason

its known as a pest,

its hunted down

chased though fields,

by a pack of dogs

and men on horse back,

with no pity in their hearts

its caught and killed

What did it really ever do to you?
