not of the same blood

not of the same race

but not a better sister

she's loving and giving

kind and caring

always there to see

how im fairing

A friend of a friend

that's all she was

but now she's my sister

as if from my mother

what would i do

without my sister

i would be lost

i would be lonely

without her near me

She picks me up

when i feel down

gets me laughing

and messing around

she gives so much

and asks little in return

always there with a caring word

My world is brighter
