All of my life I've been looking

what for is the question

always searching

always looking

I've felt something missing

but not known what

trying to find god knows what

Just going through lifes motions

day after day

not feeling dead

but still not alive

Like a rose bud

on a bush

alive but not living

closed to the world

curled up and withstanding

But then one day

the sun shone down

so warm and caressing

the petals started to open

The warmth of your love

your caring ways

has given me more

im totally amazed

Now i know

what i was waiting for

to love and be loved

as never before.

I bath in your love

every day

like the rose bud

blooming on a summers day

whether your here

or far away

your in my heart

there to stay
