Hi, I am Sebastian (Siby) and I welcome you to my home page. I shall first introduce myself to you, for those who are not familiar with me and for those who know not much about me. I am a Malayalee from Kerala State, India. My mother tongue is Malayalam. I speak English and Hindi (the latter not admiringly well)l. The village I was born and grew up is Koodalloor, Kottayam district, Kerala.
Of my educational credentials: I hold a Master's degree in Tourism Management and a Bachelor's degree in Arts. I have also undergone a three-year course in philosophy. However, I have worked mostly in the publishing industry, most often as a copy editor. I worked as an editor with a British transnational publishing company in Bangalore till June 2005 and before that I worked for nearly half a decade in Mumbai. Now I am in the UK.
Of my interests: Carnatic classical music is my first love followed by Hindustani classical. (I listen to Western music too). Besides, I am interested in politics, social issues, literature, philosophy and religion. Reading is my first hobby.
I write poetry. You will see my poems on the inside pages. I have travelled widely in India and had the good fortune of encountering many cultures and the vast diversity that marks India. Happy surfing... |
