Model Review- 1:100 scale Deathscythe Hell Custom by The New Nataku

December 2000 for $25.99

Of all the Deathscythe models, this is the coolest! Like the rest of the other 1:100 scale Endless Waltz models, it is molded in close to the right colors, no cement is needed (but it helps), and it includes an unpainted figure of the pilot, Duo Maxwell. Detail wise, all the EW 1:100 scales are not quite up to par with the Gundam Wing kits, they have considerable less panel lines, and other small details like that. This kit does not have many weapons, but what it does have is really cool! The awesome wings are held on by a polycap, so they can be removed easily. They move on hinges, unlike the 1:144 scale version. The scythe is molded in a nice, clear green plastic, so it actually looks better without paint. If you want the body to be that midnight blue color, it will require paint. I highly recommend flat (or gloss, depending on which one you like better) black spray paint for the wings. The legs are molded in close to perfect color already, but if you can mix paints, go for it. The only slight flaw in this kit is that the head was molded a little bit out of shape, but it is in the back. If it bothers you, putty it. The Duo figure is molded in the skin color, but you should prime it before painting, because paint doesnt stick quite right. The kit is just overall really cool looking! ^_^

On a scale of 1 thru 5, I would give this a 4.7.
