MEMORIAL TO DARRIN
Darrin is my nephew. My brothers and my sister-in-laws son to be exact. Below is an article in our local paper that doesn't tell the whole story and I'd like to set it straight.

On the night of August 24, 2001, Darrin and his sister Heather, were visiting their mother in the hospital. On the way home, Darrin decided he wanted to visit with his neice, Heather's daughter Hannah, so he stopped at Heathers house and played with his neice . He was on a road he had only traveled a few times and the fog was so bad,( according to the paramedics), that you couldn't see the hand in front of your face. Since Darrin didn't know the road too well, he didn't see the stop sign and continued to drive through it into the path of another car. The newspaper article below made it sound like he was negligent and disobeyed the stop sign when in fact he didn't see it. Another thing that they neglected to add was that he had not been drinking that night. I made this page to set some things straight and to remember this wonderful kid that was doing a wonderful thing of visiting his ill mother in the hospital and playing with his little niece before the Lord decided it was his time to come home. According to reports, shortly after the paramedics arrived the fog had lifted. If only he would have waited 10 more minutes!!!!. We all loved you, Darrin!!!

I am home in Heaven, dear ones; Oh so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over, Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever, Safely home in Heaven, at last.
Did you wonder I so calmly, Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! but Jesus' love illuminated, Every dark and fearful glade, and he came Himself to meet me, In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on, Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely, For I love you dearly still:
Try to look beyond earth's shadows, Pray to trust our Father's Will.
There is work still waiting for you, So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth---You shall rest in Jesus' land. When that work is all completed, He will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting.
Oh, the joy to see you come.
