Photos of the Real Soldiers
A picture of Abraham Hoss Yeager after the war. Pvt. G Co.  Yeager wrote an autobiography later in life.  Part tells of the end of the war and the final chapter describes the continuing Confederate spirt.  If you would like to see Yeager's work follow this link.
Thanks again to Mr. Donahue Bible for allowing me the use of this picture.  This is one of the few pictures that I know of that has the 29th Tennessee flag in it.  It is the one to the right.  This flag was presented by the ladies of Savanna Tennessee.  It was never carried in combat.  For lack of any better way to describe it I would say that this it the flag used on all occasions other than combat.  That way they had a flag that was not full of holes.  This flag is now on a doctors office wall in California.  I would very much like to have at least a picture of it.  Unfortunately every attempt to contact the gentleman who now owns this flag has failed.  The flag is obviously a second national patter and has some of the regiments battles on it.  I cant read them all but I think that I can make out Perryville, maybe Rock Castle, Chickamauga, Murfreesboro, and maybe Chattanooga.
Kite is mentoned here as perhaps serving in the 29th at some point.  As of yet, I have not been able to confirm this.
