| The New 29th Tennessee |
| The re-enacters who now portray the 29th Tennessee first came together to form the regiment in the mid 1980's. After several key members died the regiment went into decline. Fortunately in the last several years the regiment has made a comeback. Every year we participate in more events. We have nearly 30 members and at the Battle of Shiloh this year, we made a good showing. I have much respect for the members of this group. Most everyone is very knowleagable (despite the fact that our rules, in my humble opinion, need revising),:) and compared to many regiments we are well drilled and our captain is very good |

| Many of our members participated in the making of the new movie (yet to be releaced) Gods and Generals. Many participated but as usual it is hard to get digital pictures. (we are still in the dark ages)Anyway here are a few. |

| Another member found this picture on the Gods and Generals officaial web page. At least two of the men here or in our regiment. This scene comes from 1st Manassas. General Bee is here trying to rally his men just befor uttering the famous words"Their stands Jackson like a stone wall. Rally around the Virginians!" and then he was shot.
