| Slow, melodic, old school metal with a definite gothic overtone. Peter Steele's lyrics sound like something out of an old novel which he belts out in a deep but fitting tone. The music is well crafted and reminds one of a band out of the eighties if there was a cool band in that decade. I saw them live at Ozzfest 96' on the main stage. They played a fantastic show and drew a huge response from the crowd. If I had to recommend one of their albums I would probrably have to go with Bloody Kisses, though I like everything they've put out so far. This album features a killer cover of Summer Breeze which also appears on the I Know What You Did Last Summer soundtrack. It's too bad the rest of the soundtrack sucks. |
