| Brett sez: This is quite possibly the hardest band I have ever heard. When I first heard them at Ozzfest 99', it blew my mind. Slipknot is a sonic arsenal that fills your senses and basically makes you want to hurt and destroy. This is a layered sound like no other. My only beef is with a few songs on the album. I pretty much like a metal band to stick to the metal, and there is a little bit of singing cheese on a few songs, but that's just my opinion. I was also disappointed with the video for Wait and Bleed since the music and vocals were toned down for MTV. But depite these minor complaints, if you want hardcore metal then this is the album to buy. |
