| Brett sez: How is it possible to be ridiculously popular but have virtually no one in mainstream America know who you are? Ask the guys in Clutch. This is the consumate word-of-mouth band, and that's exactly how I found out about them a few years ago. Unfortunately I missed my chance to see them in Charleston, SC last year at the Music Farm. They played with a few other bands, and for five bucks you got in, got free minibottles of Cuervo Gold, and a couple of free sampler CD's. Beat that Barbara Streisand! These guys have a style all their own, and hearing is believing. My personal fav is the first, self-titled album which contains crowd favorite "Supergrass." Goofy garage metal with a killer beat, that pretty much sums it up. |
