| Galina
Ganova is a free-lance textile artist with numerous participations
in exhibitions abroad and in Bulgaria. Most recently she is working
exclusively in the felt medium. As a felt artist she experiments primarily
with two methods – the traditional wet technique, dating to
prehistoric times, and a dry method, which has evolved in the twenties
century. Apart from those two methods she enjoys the risk involved
with pioneering new self-invented techniques. She is challenged to
create felt-works of art and felt-cloth that fit within our contemporary
life and environment beyond the strong ethnic heritage that often
accompanies the perception of felt. Each piece of art and each peace
of cloth is developed by intuitively responding to colour, form and
texture. |
