They're ILLEGAL!!!

Don’t you just love the government?  The vast majority of Americans want illegal immigrants out of the country, stronger border security, and NO AMNESTY of ANY kind including this stupid “guest worker” program being discussed…so what does the Senate do?  They come up with a bill that completely goes against what most Americans want.  You know what this kind of reminds me of?  Now I know some of this may be new to you since our public education system really sucks, but it kinda reminds me of the reasons the colonists started the Revolutionary War – no taxation without representation.  Yeah, this may be news to some of those who have suffered through public education since the popular way of teaching now is to dumb everything down to make sure the stupid kids in the class can pass everything so they don’t develop some sort of negative self-image…which in turn penalizes the smart ones by not challenging them enough.  I mean heaven forbid a kid fails and has to repeat a grade…it’s only his future at stake.  Anyway, back to my point.  Colonists were livid they were being taxed and governed by the King of England with no say in the government, therefore they declared their independence and went to war.  I pay my taxes yet have no representation…and based on all the polls the majority of Americans are in the exact same situation.  I tell you what, the Declaration of Independence states this – “Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness“.  Now I’m not calling for an overthrow of the government or anything, but it’s time to get about 98% of everyone in Washington out of office.  It would take a lot of work, but it can be done – recalls.  And one thing I’m going to start doing while I’m campaigning for the Senate is keep a close eye on how the other TN Senator, Lamar Alexander, votes.  If he votes for ANY kind of amnesty, I’m going to start speaking about a recall to have him removed from office because I HAVE HAD IT!  If our government passes any kind of legislation that grants illegal immigrants amnesty, and that includes this “guest worker” crap, what our government will have done is made it a law to where people like me that pays taxes will have to legally have my money used to support people that broke the law.  Does this make one bit of sense to anyone???

And what about all these protests for immigrant rights?  Video and pictures of THOUSANDS of immigrants taking to the streets to protest these harsh conditions that any kind of legislation would impose on them.  First, the stories in the news love to leave out the word “illegal” before the word “immigrant”.  Sounds a little more ridiculous now, doesn’t it?  Headlines SHOULD read “Thousands take to the streets to protest the rights of illegal immigrants”.  So I guess nowadays breaking the law entitles you to special rights???  What I wonder is if thousands of people just all of the sudden decided not to pay taxes.  Would the government decide to grant amnesty to all of us and not enforce the law?  Hey, maybe it’s worth looking into.  I just can’t believe what idiots we have in the Senate.  They come up with this idea to have illegal immigrants show up and pay a fine and blah blah blah…and if you’ve been here between 2 and 5 years you have to do something like go back to a check-in point at the border and then you can come back in.  Just idiotic.  What makes these brainiacs in Washington think these people will show up to pay a fine?  They’ve been under the radar for a while now.  Now what I find truly amazing are some of the quotes from the illegal immigrants at the protests.  One woman, Nineth Castillo, was asked if she was afraid of flaunting her illegal status.  Her response?  "Why? They kick us out, we're coming back tomorrow."  Isn’t that just great.  A guy named Cruz Luna said "We want to send a strong message today, a message that we want the laws to be fair”.  Yes, the laws are just so unfair, aren’t they?  So I guess the lesson to learn from these good people is that if you disagree with a law then just break it.  I wanted to know where the INS was during all this?

I can't remember if I've ever posted this before, but it needs to be repeated if I have.  I want to share a quote from Theodore Roosevelt about immigration -

"In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Truly amazing, and I couldn't agree more.  He also stated "Every immigrant who comes here should be required within five years to learn English or to leave the country" and also "It is our boast that we admit the immigrant to full fellowship and equality with the native-born. In return we demand that he shall share our undivided allegiance to the one flag which floats over all of us."  And these were words spoken about 90 years ago, pretty amazing to me.  This whole thing with illegal immigrants is mind-boggling.  We already have laws on the books for this, they just aren't being enforced.  We don't need any sweeping immigration reform, we just need the enforcement of existing laws.  I'm just thankful that no one has used the term "war on illegal immigration" yet, because whenever a term like that is thrown out there nothing is EVER accomplished.  The War on Poverty, the War on Drugs, and now the War on Terror.  And let me say this, this "war on terror" is such crap...the term that is.  If it was a true war on terror then why aren't we fighting the IRA?  Also, whenever President Bush says that the terrorists hate democracy and that's why there's so much terrorist acts in Iraq right now, I just cringe.  When will someone finally call it for what it is.  It doesn't matter if it's a democracy in a country or not...they don't hate us because we have a democracy, they hate us because we don't believe how they do.  This isn't a Muslim nation so they want to wipe us out...plain and simple.  I just wish more "leaders" had the balls to call things for what they are and not tap-dance around stuff.  Great leaders speak their minds, regardless of how popular it might be.  General Patton wanted to go into Russia since we already had the troops there, Winston Churchill warned the world about Germany years prior to everything and also about the dangers of Muslim countries.  And today we have...ummm...yeah....let me think about that one and get back to you on it.  Oh just wait until I get more speaking engagements for my Senate campaign...people are just gonna love me.  I can't wait to hear people branding me as a hate-monger, a racist, and a religious zealot...it's going to be a blast.

You know what really amazes me?  I love it when people try to tell me that Jesus loved everyone and how I'm being hateful because of my opinions and blah blah blah.  Ummm...have you ever read the Bible?  Yeah, Jesus did care about everyone, but He was also pretty adamant about what it takes to be saved.  Jesus is pretty black and white when it comes to things...there's right and wrong.  So why is it when I tell someone that the only way to Heaven is by believing in Him as their Lord and Savior, I'm the one who's being a hate-monger and religious zealot?  Why am I the one who's being closed-minded?  Those are His conditions, not mine...so would those same people call Jesus a hate-monger and zealot?  Just something to think about as Easter approaches.

One more thing about politics...Ann Coulter's new book has been announced today and is slated for a June 6th release.  The title?  "Godless - The Church of Liberalism".  I love it!  Supposedly she has received the biggest advance for any conservative author ever...and she deserves it.  She is one of the few who will say it like it is.  I've read two of her other books and they were masterpieces.
