Good ol' Al Gore.  Where oh where would we be without him?  Not only did he invent the internet, but because of him we will all be saved from burning to death and drowning.  And now he wins a Nobel Peace Prize to give some sort of credibility to his "chicken little the sky is falling" bit.  There are a bunch of scientists and meteorologists who sit on both sides of the global warming issue.  Each side quotes stats and "facts" about what's going on, so I'm not even going to attempt to go down that road because most of it seems agenda driven.  I want to look at the issue of man-made global warming from a common sense view, so here are my thoughts on it.

First off, I think man-made global warming is a bunch of crap.  Will I agree that there is a pollution problem?  Easily.  Heck, I'll never forget several years ago when I went to Los Angeles and saw the L.A. skyline covered in a green haze of smog at night.  Do we need to cut down on pollution?  Absolutely.  Do I think that the coastlines will be submerged under water and we'll all bake to death in the sun?  Not one bit.  Back in the 1970's, Newsweek had a big article of another coming Ice Age and how scientists were pleading with governments to build all sorts of stuff to heat the polar ice caps so we wouldn't all freeze to death.  Then in the 1980's and 1990's, CFC's were all the rage and any aerosol can had to be changed to spew it's contents a different way so no CFC's could enter the air.  This also led to all sorts of regulations about freon for your car's air-conditioning.  Problem solved, right?  No, because NOW the pollutant is CO2...good ol' carbon dioxide that we all exhale.  Yes, what we exhale as part of life is now a pollutant.  This pollutant is now causing more heat, or more of the sun's rays hitting the earth.  Ever heard of photosynthesis?  Photosynthesis is the process by which plants live.  This is where plants take in CO2, are given energy by sunlight, and produce oxygen.  So let me get this straight...the tree huggers cry about too much of the sun and too much CO2, yet these are two key products plants use in producing oxygen...does this make one bit of sense???  In fact, let me post an actual definition of the word "photosynthesis" -

"The synthesis of complex organic materials, esp. carbohydrates, from carbon dioxide, water, and inorganic salts, using sunlight as the source of energy and with the aid of chlorophyll and associated pigments"

So we have carbon dioxide and sunlight, which the dirt worshippers say there is too much of because of the heat, ARE ALL NEEDED TO PRODUCE OXYGEN WHICH ALLOWS US TO LIVE!!!!  Honestly, you could say these morons are nothing more than anti-oxygen...it makes as much sense as what they're whining about already.  Let me state this again in case you missed it - for us to have oxygen to breathe plants need CO2, water, and sunlight.  The Al Gore lemmings are against the CO2 in the air and are worried about too much sunlight yet these things are key ingredients in giving us OXYGEN TO BREATHE!!!!  But hey, I'm not some self-righteous idiot who won an Oscar, so what do I know.

Here's something else that really cracks me up.  Whenever a conservative is nailed for doing something that goes against what conservatives stand for, they are almost crucified in the media.  However when Al Gore is known to use more electricity at his house than the average person uses in a year, nothing is said.  Oh, I forgot, he has a "carbon neutral" house.  Seriously, what in the hell does that mean?  Wait...wait...he does own a company that researches alternate sources of energy and deals in carbon offsets.  And it was SO noble of him to donate the money he got when he was awarded the Nobel Prize to this company, wasn't it?  And no one would EVER think that he is in a position to gain financially from this company when he flies around in a private plane stirring up hysteria over global warming.  Oh no, no one would EVER do that.  To think someone would use their notoriety to benefit financially is beyond anything a politician is capable of...uh huh.

As I've stated before, the local weatherman can't get a forecast right a week from now...yet I'm supposed to think someone knows what will happen twenty years down the road?  Yeah...give me a break.  Oh, and the latest is how Big Al celebrated winning his bs award.  Did you hear about this?  He hops on his private plane and goes to Scottsdale, Arizona where he hosts a private dinner party for about 90 people which included the big-wigs of Coke, Pepsi, and Home Depot.  What was on the menu?  Let's see, fresh lobster flown in from Maine, Kobe steaks flown in from Japan, fresh tuna brought in from the Pacific, do you see a trend here?  The guy who is placed on a pedestal for all his "work" dealing with global warming flies on a private plane to a dinner party where MORE planes are used to bring in food.  Am I the only one who sees this as a wee bit hypocritical?  Al Gore is a liar, a hypocrite, and basically is on the level of a snake oil salesman.  Considering he's supposed to be the number one spokesman about the perils of global warming, I wonder why I don't put any stock in it.

A heat wave hits in the summer and it's because of global warming.  Record cold temperatures hit during the winter and it's because of shifting weather patterns due to global warming.  A large number of hurricanes hit a couple of years ago due to global warming.  This year hardly any hurricanes hit due to shifting weather patterns caused by global warming.  Do you see how ridiculous all of this is?  We are either getting bombarded with heat due to global warming, or if something else happens that the lemmings can't explain, then it's due to shifting weather patterns caused by global warming...or as one left-wing whacko told me, it's all due to global cooling.

And I'll say this again...if the local weatherman can't tell me when it's going to rain a week ahead of time, I refuse to put any stock in predictions on weather or climate change 20 years down the road.  I could really keep going on and on about my faith in God and how long the planet will be around, but I won't because commie leftists will dismiss what I wrote as being done by another religious zealot.  What I have written is all just based on common sense, and I really hope that if you read this, the light bulb in your head will turn on if you didn't already view this bs global warming agenda for what it is already.
