FIRST BUZZ COLUMN....OR "WHAT THE HECK IS THE BUZZ???"

Yes, my dad came by to visit his first grandkid this weekend, and I don't think he could have been more proud of me.  Oh the look of pride on his face knowing his son had done a good job really meant a lot.  And as we sat down to watch the #3 ranked Georgia Bulldogs play South Carolina, I could tell he was enjoying this experience.  Wait...what does the game have to do with a grandkid?  Well considering I will probably never get married and have kids, I decided last week to treat myself and get something I could love as much as a child - a 57" television.  Oh and football has never looked so good.  You see, when a woman has a baby, all her friends have to come over to "see the baby"...just like on Seinfeld..."you've got to come see the baby!".  Not around here...with me over the last week it was "Dude...you have got to come see this TV!  I was watching Texas Chainsaw and you can literally see the sinew on the chainsaw blade when he saws dude in half!!!".  Yeah, I feel like a proud parent.  And what a day Sunday was as I relaxed in my recliner and cut on the big screen to watch Michael Vick fearlessly lead my Atlanta Falcons to victory!  It's a magical time of the year right now...FOOTBALL SEASON!  And considering both my teams pulled it out this week, it's time to revel in it considering last year's season was one of the worst in recent memory.  Wow, what a difference a year makes...one year ago I was still licking my wounds from the tragic news of Vick breaking his leg a few weeks earlier and the season went completely down the toilet after that.

I was at Walgreen's the other day, and you know what I heard?  A Mexican radio station playing over the speakers.  Now, last I checked I was in the good ol' USA, right?  Look, if people from other countries want to come over here and be citizens I have ZERO problem with that.  But this flood of illegal aliens (remember when we used to say that?  I guess all the E.T.'s were getting offended) is ridiculous.
