e.Energy Technology Limited is an associated company of CityU Enterprises Limited, the business arm wholly owned by the City University of Hong Kong. Dedicated to advance research and development, its founders consist of 2 top research academics in power electronics namely Professor Ron Hui and Dr. Henry Chung. Both of them are Associate Editors of the IEEE Transactions. In recognition of their research achievements in energy saving products, they have been awarded the Grand Prize of the Third Applied Research Excellence Awards of the City University in 2001.

Leading an engineering team of the company is a technical director Mr. Allen Tang who is a former Technical Director of an international power electronic companies. 40% of the current engineering team of e.Energy have registered for postgraduate research programme.

e.Energy is committed to providing unique/tailor-made high performance energy-saving products. Most of its products are invented at the university and patented worldwide. A total of 12 patents have been filed since 1998. Current products consist of : -

The business of e.Energy focuses mainly on high-tech energy saving technology; electronic lighting and systems; domestic, commercial and industrial energy saving systems in the buildings; provision of consultancy advice in electronic products and designs.
