Santosh Sahu , urf "gelhu" is a simple guy from a remote village called " Dangpadar" near Palsagora of Boudh dist of Orissa,India. I have spent my childhood in rural areas like 'Sagada','Chhapapali' etc in my first 12-13 years of life...I have done my high school education in "Govt Boys' High School , Titilagarh and +2 Science in D.A.V College, Titilagarh.
I have lost around 2 years behind the Pre-medical Test preparation in "Cuttack" & "Sambalpur" when I was a BSc ( Physics Hons) student of Gangadhar Meher College,Sambalpur.
But I could not continue the " physics" and joined "OUAT" in its BSc(Agriculture Hons) after qualifying the all india Pre-agriculture test conducted by ICAR in the year 1998.
I have spent around 4 valuable years in OUAT Hostel no -2("my Dream Place")to learn the agricultural science.Manage to qualify the CAT for PGABM written, but could not make the final round and put an end to my management career before entering into it.
In order to avoid mote further loss of time
Then, I qualified the PAT of DA-IICT and enrolled myself in MS (IT in Agriculture ) in "Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information & Communication Technology(DA-IICT)"
During my Summer trainning of DA-IICT (from June 1st to August 1st)in the year 2004 , I did our project in "National Institute of Agricultural Extension Managament(MANAGE) - An organisation of Ministry of Agriculture,Govt. Of India", Hyderbad under the guidance of Dr. P Chandrashekara (Director - Agriculture Extension) and Dr. V.P Sharma(Director - IT) on " Web Directory for Agri-professionals An IT Application. It was a very good experience to spend two months with the students of "PG - Agri warehousing & Supply Chain Management " & "PG - Agri business Management" and other related professionals in Hyderabad.
During my industrial training of DA-IICT ( From 15th Dec 2004-15th April 2004 ) with Godrej Agrovet Limited (GAVL), Mumbai under the guidance of Mr. M.S. Wange,Mr. Jaison John and Mr. Kannan Upadhyaya for 4 months in different business unlits like Pune,Ranjini Aadhaar,Umraj Aadhaar,Chandigarh unit,Kuruhketra market,Yamunanagar market,Kernal factory,Mumbai Nature's basket and in the corporate office of Mumbai to work on two different projects i.e "Modules of Godrej Aadhaar Website construction" and "Quality Speciafications for different fruits and vegetables at Godrej nature's basket"
After qualifying the three round of interview , atlast I joined my fist job as " Officer - New projects" in Godrej Agrovet Limited reporting to Mr. S. K . Rao , Hyderabad Unit on 23rd May 2005 and based at Godrej Aadhaar Center,Paga, Cuttack,Orissa. In between i have got 2-3 promotions in every 6 months to get a posion "Sr executive-Buying & Merchandising" for Godrej Aadhaar for its entire south Retail Operation reporting to Mr. L. Sunderraj(Head- Buying & Merchandising ). In November, 2006, I left Godrej Agrovet to join Reliance Retail as "Assistant Manager - Fresh & Frozen Food " for Hyderabad , reporting to Mr.Purnojit Bhowmick.Since the launching of Stand alone non-veg stores were delayed, i had to leave the team in July 2007.
Then I worked RPG Spencer's Retail for its new operation in Gujarat under the guidance of Mr. Chandrasekhar (Business Head-Gujarat),Mr. Sanjay Kesavan (GM - Mumbai & Gujarat),Mr. nagarajju,Mr. Sabir Padhri,Mr. Raghabendra Bilki,Mr. Udaya Kumar (GM-Merchandising -F&V India),Mr. Uday Amin ( Head- Merchandidng West) and Mr. Ashok Kumar ( National Head) as a Regional category Manager ( Fruits & Vegetables and Fish n Meat) for Gujarat based in Ahmedabad . I continued there for 2 years and learnt different aspect of Merchandising. As the stores were closed in Gujarat , so I decided to leave spencers in June 2009.
Currently I am associated with Worlds Window Infrastructure & Logistics Pvt Limited ( WWILPL ) as Head- Cold Chain Business based at Nagpur to look after its operation in Chindwara and Wardha.
I got married with "Prajna" in Feb 2008 and live with her . I have worked with different people and different organisations but the experience in Baroda is unique. Its a nice place to stay and enjoy the life.
