INQUISITOR
This
section describes the Inquisitor advanced class. The fastest way to get to this
class is through multi-classing the Fast and Smart advanced classes though
other combinations are possible. The young inquisitor is training to become a
full inquisitor. The main requirements are a broad field of ability, a capacity
to learn all areas and a generally high aptitude in all things. The Inquisitor
gets very few special abilities, however, he does have the best overall in
terms of class standard gains. The Inquisitor is the only advanced class that
does not get any Bonus Feats. This class is a prerequisite for the Inquisition
Prestige classes later on.

CLASS
FEATURES
The
following features pertain to the Inquisitor advanced class.
Inquisitorial Seal
Whenever
the Inquisitor needs to acquire something he can use his formidable position to
requisition it from the local government. This is done as any other Requisition
check (see the Credits and Equipment section) but the Inquisitor gets a +10
bonus on the check. Also anything requisitioned by the Inquisitor using his
special seal does not need to be returned, it is gifted to him. The Inquisitor
can only use this ability on Imperial worlds.
Arcane Powers
The
Inquisitor gains Arcane Psychic Level everytime this class feature appears in
the Special section of the Inquisitor table. A level 1 Inquisitor will have the
Arcane Heritage Feat and thus must have a minimum Arcane Psychic Level of 2.
Over the course of the 10 Inquisitor class levels this increases by 5 to 7 or 8
depending on the psychic level before the Inquisitor class was taken. To see
the effects of having an Arcane Psychic Level see the Psychic Section of the
d20-40k manual.
Retinue
The Inquisitor
gains a special variant of the Cohort feat. It works identically to the cohort
feat except that the Inquisitor can select up to 4 cohorts instead of the
standard 1.
Presence
The
Inquisitor gains the Frightful Presence feat even if he does not normally meet
the prerequisites. Additionally the DC of the Inquisitor’s Frightful Presence
is 5 higher than normla when in Imperial space.
