Carnatic Music
I am not an exponent of classical music, but a fan of it. Listening
to Carnatic Music, I have found, is the best way to relax. It soothes both
the mind and the body. Instead of showing off further ignorance, I provide
a list below of my favourite links to sites which deal with Carnatic Music,
explaining the history, intricate details which make up the form of one of
the richest and traditional music of south India. A few of the sites also
provide audio clips, generally requiring Real Video Player. Obviously,
the list is only some of the ones I have come across.

I guess this should be classified under Classical. But my personal feeling
is that the krithis of this saint-composer considered as the pitAmaha of
carnatic music are simple and easy to learn, even mere bathroom singers like
me would not hesitate to learn and sing a "DEvaranAma". The following links
