                                      Intercooler Water-sprayer Installation

Disconnect battery

Install nozzles
Drill holes in scoop sheet metal mount, we first drilled a 1/8th pilot hole then opened to full size using a Unibit.  The Unibit makes a nice clean hole unlike a fluted bit.  (We laid a piece of cardboard across the engine compartment to prevent shavings from getting in engine area)
Clip nozzles into holes in scoop mount

Install pump
To cut the hole in Window washer bottle, we again used a Unibit but a hole type saw will work too. If the hole is cut small, a rotary file or hand file can be used to open to finished size.  This material is difficult to cut or file because of its lubricating qualities.
Clip I/C pump into existing recess in Window washer bottle.  We moved the existing window washer pump to the upper position so the I/C pump would have the most water before running the tank dry.
Wire the I/C pump, this is very straightforward, the connectors are male/female.  (When we moved the window washer pump we disconnected, so we re-connected)
We taped up the wires using electrical tape and on the connectors dabbed a bit of grease; the grease is a good moisture barrier.

Install sprayer tubing
We first laid out the tubing in the approximate location to determine length, when this was done; we cut all tubing to finished size.
 Made tubing connections to nozzles
We added the Tee fitting, connecting the tubes from the nozzles.
Made tubing connection to I/C pump
Glued Zip tie mounts on the hood and the firewall using Silicon RTV
Zip tied the tubing at locations to prevent chaffing or interference

Run wiring
Pull out grommet from magic hole in the firewall found under the clutch pedal, this is the hole that most all modifications that involve electrical to the dash route the wires through.
Routed wire harness through magic hole to vicinity of washer bottle
Routed wire harness up to vicinity of switch blank-off

Install switch
Removed existing switch blank-off in dash, located next to fog light switch
Pushed wires through blank-off, out of dash
 Wired Subaru I/C pump switch
Mounted the I/C pump switch in dash recess, it clips right in.

Test Installation
 Connected Battery
We ran a system check to verify I/C pump, I/C switch operation and I/C switch illumination

Final Assembly
Taped wires and Zip tied wire harness to prevent chaffing and binding
