My day started off kind of slow. I woke up and went to work. At work I saw the dreaded evil math whore and he told me that I got over ninety percent on my final exam....WOOOOHOOOO! Sorry, thats over now. I came home and mom was here. Yes, my mom was home before I was. This alone could have made the evening exciting. Mom and I discuss options for dinner, but seeing as Dad had taken all of the food to the cottage ur options were limited to eating out. We tossed ideas back and forth, and finally mom had the best idea. Casino Rama! We both scurried around getting changed and stuff and finally hopped into the truck. I wish I had brought one of my cd's with us. Looking around for something decent to listen to....Celine Dion....Backstreet boys...Madonna....98degrees...more celine....more backstreet...augh! It wasn't too bad because I kept it low enough so that it was a dull humming noise just barely over the fan. We arrived at Rama and my mom tells me to get my I.D. ready. I look at her, and she nods. She says, "I just know they're going to I.D. you, you look too young." Well, thanks mom don't I feel good about myself now. Anyways, no sooner had we walked in the door than a security guard starts walking towards us. Geeze, she was right. I don't really look that young do I? The security guard kept looking from my drivers license to my face..back and forth...back and forth. She came flat out and said "This doesn't even look like you." Well, I'll admit I look different, the picture was 3 years ago. Since then I grew out my fringe (bangs) and I've lost a little weight, but nothing so drastic that I shouldn't look like myself. Finally she let me go in, mom said that I'd probably get i.d. checked more than once after I'd entered...I'm glad she was wrong. The first thing we did when we got in was head straight to the bar. Mom had her usual white wine and I nabbed a Gin and Seven while I didn't have to pay. We played the slots, the quarter ones that is, for a while without much luck at all. We headed for dinner. We ate, quite cheaply, only twenty bucks for the both of us including mom's wine. After dinner mom gave me a twenty, and herself a twenty worth of quarters and we headed back to the slots. I only opened one of my rolls of tokens and was doing really well at this one machine Haywire. Mom wasn't doing quite as well as I was so I have her my second roll of tokens and I jsut kept on winning. In the end of our last stint, we decided to get out while we still had something, my ten dollars had turned into $37.50, not bad for a beginner. On the way home I convinced mom to stop at Tim Horton's for some Iced Cappuchino...mmmmmmmm. She's never had one and I guess she was feeling daring and ordered one too. It turns out that she liked it, atleast she said she did. I know I love them, and she slurped the bottom of the cup, that's some indication isn't it? |
