Another day where I'm unsure where I should begin. Shall I start at the beginning? Or the best part??

I shall start at the beginning...for somewhat of a dramatic effect...hopefully.

Seeing as today was to be one of my (very) few days off this summer I decided to sleep in. Well, sleep in I did. Eight o'clock came and went....nine....ten....eleven...by noon I rolled out of bed feeling relaxed and still sleepy. I haven't slept quite like that in some time, and it felt really good to be able to wake up in my own time. Most mornings I'm rushed from bed to the shower and right out the door. Today I wandered around a bit and took my sweet old time....quite nice.

Without any homework or anything else to do I felt bored. Not just ordinary I'm avoiding my homework type of bored, but like there was nothing at all to do. I just didn't know what to do with myself, it was a very strange feeling.

Edgar came over to my house after he got off work - we seem to be seeing a lot of one another - just in time to meet my dad before he (my dad) left for the cottage. That was weird..kinda. Especially since my dad says stuff like "Don't worry Kate I won't make fun of you," well thanks dad but I think you just did. Anyways he left and Edgar and I played tetris. I think he's bitter that I kept winning, poor guy. Some time passed...

So, Edgar and I went out to dinner. We went to Scully's, which has changed quite a bit since I was last there...which was when it was still called The Boatworks. We started off with some lovely Strawberry Daiquiri's. We both had chicken ceasar salad and some bread stuff, I'm not quite sure what the bread was. After dinner, even though Edgar was stuffed, he wanted cheesecake....so cheesecake we had. Yummmmy! Cheesecake drizzled with strawberry sauce and whipped cream droplets everywhere. I claimed the whipped cream as the plate hit the table and Edgar hit the cheesecake.

After dinner, we headed back to my house. No one was there, still. We hit the bottle of gin with a little seven up, this was not my idea and I swear I wasn't trying to take advantage. We listened to some music, played on my computer and stuff in this *gap* of time. We ventured out for JOLT at some point and when we returned my mom was home. Edgar got to meet my mom, and she behaved.

We got American Pie to watch with my mom. Yes, with my mom...I forgot how embarassing it was. I know we probably shouldn't have tried to be social with my mom, but I never get to spend any time with her. So the three of us sat down and laughed lots.

And that was pretty well all that happened today....

It's kinda funny how this all came about. Edgar was trying to set me up with a guy, and now This. It really doesn't computer how we jumped from one to the other, but right now I don't mind. Actually, I quite like the way things are right now. I'm not quite sure which train I've hopped on, but I like the view.
