People seem to systematically get more boring as they settle into this
idealistic habbit forced on to them by society, which involves finding a
partner and procreating. There are of course the other issues such as
marriage, getting a mortgage and driving the most up to date family saloon
car, but that is not the focus of our existence. As long as the male has
spreed his seed and the woman brought up her first born then mission one is
complete in their lives.. and this means that they feel some kind of self
worth, and if they died the next day it wouldn't be as much of a loss as
pre-procreation. Why does value of life decrease in accordance to
achievement? They don't think for themselves, just whether or not they're
keeping up with societies standards. Is adhering to society their only
ambition? Is being "normal" and to wear a suit, work in an office, drive a
family car and have a holiday to Spain each year what THEY want, or what
society wants them to have?
Annie says "Societies ideologies can kiss my ass."
So when they have this, they can face the world, with their partner, new
child and an averagely priced suit to attend meetings in the office.
Meetings they don't want to attend because they despise their job, but
without the meetings would mean no suit and nothing to face the world with,
nothing to prove to people who don't actually care. With no job there would
be no family car, holiday and more realistically it would be the demise of
the very thing they pine to achieve - normality.
Annie says "Normality BLOWS."
I sometimes wonder, whether they think outside of the box. Whether they've
ever thought the things I've thought, or experienced the things I've
experienced? Have they ever had a unique thought or experience, which sticks
in their memory, an opinion or life changing revelation, or just the
realisation that they are 100% totally happy with what they are and stand
for. I'm nearly 19 and I want to live. They're in their mid 20s, and stuck
with unwanted responsibility, but seem to have no experience of what self
fulfilment can really do to your thoughts and actions.
Annie says "Individualism is enough to fulfil anyone, you just have to have
the courage to do it."
I do not condemn these people, or even the more open minded individuals
among us to taking up these activities, as humans that is all we should be
concerned with. I just find it difficult to accept that ALL of these people
really want that so soon, but feel they must because of a higher power.
Annie says "Would you indulge in homicide if the media told you to?"
There is so much more to see and do than this. I remember saying this to a
friend "most of my opinions are totally outrageous because only a minority
believe them". You only believe what you are told to believe, whatever's in
the media, so someone different will be outrageous and wrong. Society is
designed to be kept mainstreamed, so we all do the same thing. Music like
Tool is totally outrageous, books and films going against the love and
happyness genre are outrageous and differing opinion is outrageous. Why
don't we hear about Grant Morrison, Maynard James Keenan, Benjamin Zephaniah
or Bill Hicks. All uniquely misunderstood purely for the fact they don't get
the publicity unlike those frauds we hear about 24 fucking 7 like Bush and
Blair, and coy little boybands such as 'Blue' who rip off music from proper
artists from the past. Because of course publicity would endanger streaming
us all off into neat little clones of each other, and jeapordise a safe
economy of the segregated social classes . There is no freedom of speech,
you've just been convinced that there is.
Annie says "Get real, cut the crap and live for yourfuckingself!"
