ABORTION - 21/04/04

I know most will now understand my hatred for babies and children, but I've got to make a point to people. I was watching a programme on TV last night about Abortion, and I am still unchanged about my pro-abortion view. I want to understand why abortion is such a touchy subject with people? An un-aborted baby at a few weeks is barely even a human life, it is more of a globule of cells produced by the mothers body, and you call it a baby and get all preachy over it! *Statirical Sarcasm* WELL I'M SICK OF IT! Anyway I do understand maternal instinct but how can people in this modern age let that override moral and social issues?

What I want to say is that anti-abortionists/people who believe it is ethically wrong, you should not condem others in having their own opinion and in effect living THEIR OWN LIFE. It is, as with many other topics, a matter of personal choise. They don't seem to realise now with a pro-choise lifestyle in our culture that it is fine to, and sometimes encouraged that abortion should take place.

You are entitled to your own opinion but the facts are that between 1971 and 1978 the National Womens Coordinating Committee passed 7 resolutions demanding rights for women. One of which was Abortion on demand. We have a CHOICE you must understand. I think that if you're one of the many people who believe the babies life begins when it's growing inside a woman, even if it's only a few weeks old, then you're more likely to think that abortions are wrong.

For me I believe it starts when it enters society, that's when it has some control over its life. I believe that yes, it does kick and do things that resemble humans but it is still part of the bearer, and is not in any form a seperate being. This is a very touchy subject for some, but sometimes hearing other peoples opinions makes you think. Not all women want babies (like me), and what anti-abortionists must remember is that having kids is not easy. You can't suddenly decide to have a child, nowadays it must be carefully planned. It's not just about money and whether a father figure is accessible, but it is moreso about whether the woman is in the right mental frame of mind to be dealing with a 24/7 pain in the ass.

All I think of when I say 'anti-abortionist' is some bubbly, happy Catholic woman with a love for kids, like the kind who bend down to other peoples kids in the street and speaks to it, wiggling its fingers and such. WELL I'M SORRY! But if I had a child (god forbid) I wouldn't want some weird-ass woman touching it. The Catholic forbid abortion and in my eyes are either trying to impose their religion on other people (because they think that it's the correct way to live), or they are jealous that their religion STATES they must not abort a child, but people outside their religion do it, so if they can't then why should everyone else? Below is a picture I found on BBC News' website, it made me larf.. oh the irony! "Abortion kills children" I think it's appropriate to use the term: WELL DUH! Oh another thing, notice the really LAME points they make on their protest cards, not only are they lame, but why are they contradicting each other? "Keep abortion legal" and "Abortion kills children".

These pictures are from a US protest where women wanted to abolish 'partial births'. This means that they want to abolish abortion after the foetus is a certain age. It's stupid, because after they've persuaded dumbass Mr Bush to comply, it's only a foot in the door for them to try and totally abolish it. I hate George Bush as he's signing the law, cunt. "The US Senate voted in favour of a ban on the form of late-term abortion in March, and US President George W Bush is expected to sign the ban into law." This law breeches the 7 passed resolutions, stupid motherfucking anti-abortionists. "It will be the first legislative restriction on a woman's right to choose since Roe v Wade." The American culture truly is fucked up, no offence to Americans but how can such a contradicting law be passed, you're the country who slays men because they sinned, and you think that killing babies (who AREN'T even born!) is wrong. In my opinion letting a man rot in prison is a far better punishment than death. I think America has some serious issues to rethink. (But that's probably because they're highly religious)

I guess my point is that if women didn't abort babies then the population of this country would be sky high. Most women who want kids in the future aren't always going to say "I'm going to keep this baby because abortion is cruel," because they might be only 15 years old, or in education, or unemployed. We are NOT neanderthals anymore, there are the right conditions and the wrong conditions to have children in and the above are not the right ones. It's not as if the baby can justify its existence and complain when its a few weeks old, even when it is fully grown inside you it still has no right because it's not freely a person yet, it's part of the woman.

Just think about it, could you seriously love a child who was a 'mistake' more than a planned child?

How can abortion be cruel when we mass cull the creatures who have every right to be here as we do, how can they say that?
