I was born in the year of our lord 1376 on the 20th day of December. Named Jerod De’ Arkonis, Crowned prince and heir to the throne of ATALIA. On the eve of my 18th birthday, I was betrayed by my own father who was seduced by Stone and Mind Wizards now known as Ruin and Madness Mages of the Circle Of Thorns. My father offered my soul to them for the promise of infinite life and power. Unknown to him at the time, the conversion ceremony needed a human sacrifice and what better sacrifice then the traitorous father. They began the conversion experiments to make me one of their servants so that they could rule ATALIA through me. The conversion was almost complete until my royal guard tracked me down and engaged the Wizards in combat. Unfortunately, they were no match for the Mages and were defeated brutally. With the ceremony interrupted and unable to be restarted, I was sealed into the side of a mountain by the Stone the Wizards in hopes that I could serve them in later years. Over the centuries encased in the rock face, my body began absorbing all the elements and minerals within the mountain due to the mutation of my cells caused by the Conversion Spells. In 1922, a huge earthquake shook loose the rock I was sealed in and plunged me into a pool of molten lava. As I emerged from the smoldering liquid, I was terrified at the transformation my body undertook. Over the course of 5 years I dwelled in the underground caves exploring the strange powers I now possessed. I could form solid stone over my hands and different types of rock over my body including molten brimstone. I could also form a mallet of pure stone from my bare hands and even create cracks in the earth with a single stomp. But nothing could prepare me for my final transformation: I had the ability to encrust my entire body with solid granite turning my into a veritable HULK Of STONE. My only weakness is reverting back to my human form. I begin to age at twice the speed of a normal human. My demon form is the only thing keeping me alive by regenerating my cells to that of an 18 year old. |
