B'Elanna was standing in the middle of engineering, her fists made into
tight little balls, her breathing coming in pants, and her teeth clenched so
tight, Seven was surprised that they hadn't already cracked under the pressure.
"Argh, this counting to ten thing isn't working!" B'Elanna
screamed. "Computer log B'Elanna Torres and Seven of Nine off duty due to
personal reasons."
"So logged." Came the computer's cool, calm reply.
"Lt.?" Seven questioned wit a raised eyebrow.
"Let's go." B'Elanna puffed out while practically dragging Seven
out of engineering.
"Indeed. Where exactly are 'we' going?"
Torres didn't answer that question. Instead she was too busy trying to keep
her cool and not rip Seven apart limb from limb while on the way to her
destination.
"The holodeck? Lt. I will not spar with you, even if the safeties are
on-line. The Captain would not be pleased that we have chosen this alternative
to relieve our aggressions toward each other."
B'Elanna ignored Seven's speech a she programmed the parameters for the
program she wanted to run. As soon as she was finished, the engineer stepped
into the holodeck leaving behind a very confused and curious ex-drone. If Seven
knew how, she would have shrugged her shoulders right before she too walked in.
The program appeared to be that of a night club. There was a bar off to the far
right, tables and chairs filled with big burly guys sitting drinking it up. Off
to the left was a set of stairs leading to a second floor in which Seven heard
strange grunting noises and high pitched screaming coming from there. But what
was even more strange was that in the center of the room was a circular ring
filled halfway with mud. There were two women in this arena who appeared to be
wrestling each other. Although, Seven thought that they weren't doing a good
job of it, the men in the room were cheering them on.
A few moments later, the match ended with the announcer declaring a winner.
Seven heard that same announcer announce the next match but couldn't quite
follow the words. She was distracted by the very beautiful body of Lt. Torres
clad only in a tiny black two piece bathing suit showing off an impossible
amount of skin. Rock hard, toned, and tanned skin at that. Seven stepped
forward when she thought she heard the announcer say Lanna vs Seven but she
could have been wrong. Only when Lanna stepped into the ring did Seven realize
she heard right. Looking down at herself she realized the she, too, only wore a
two piece bathing suit. The only difference was that her's was red instead of
black. Stepping into the ring as well she looked into B'Elanna's eyes and saw
the same desire she felt reflected back.
"Lt.?" was all Seven could bring herself to say coherently.
"Tom had once suggested this in order to relieve some of the aggression
I felt towards you. And since he had been right about mud baths being relaxing
and able to relieve tension I thought I'd give this a try as well." Lanna
offered up as an explanation. All of a sudden thinking this was not such a good
idea after all. Now instead of relieving aggressive tension she may have only
replaced it with another kind of tension.
Seven was gong to question Tom Paris's judgement (after all he did divorce
B'Elanna) when the crowd started to jeer. The holographic announcer came up to
them and told them to wrestle or else get out. B'Elanna looked to see if Seven
was game and in seeing no disagreement she began to circle the ex-drone.
"For the rest of the program call me Lanna." But before Seven could
even nod her head yes Lanna launched herself at the statuesque woman. Slid
stepping ever so slightly, Seven managed to throw Lanna over her shoulder and
pin her to the floor. It was a strange sensation for Seven to be 'rolling'
around in mud but it was one that she found she enjoyed. Lanna and Seven both
wrestled for the upper hand much to the audience's delight as well as there
own. Seven even began to smile and laugh, not being able to remember ever
having so much fun before. Even though B'Elanna was having a great time she
stopped dead in her tracks when she realized that Seven was having as much fun
as her. That gave Seven the upper hand and she flipped Lanna over pinning her
to the floor.
The announcer began to announce the winner but the half Klingon stopped him
before he could, deleting all the other holo-characters as well. Seven loosened
her grip thinking that the match was over only to be flipped over and have
Lanna sit on her stomach, pinning her arms.
"I must admit that Ensign Paris was correct. The adversarial tension
between us has dissipated." Seven managed to get out in between gulping
breaths and smiling.
"Not dissipated, Seven, just replaced by other tensions."
"Lt.?"
"Didn't I tell you to call me Lanna?"
"Indeed, Lanna." Seven somehow managed to purr out B'Elanna's
name.
And that purr was met by a low growl as Lanna leaned down to cover Seven's
lips with her own. It started off slow and gentle but as passions grew so did
the intensity of the kiss. Breaking off only when out of breath the two women
looked into each other's eyes to find any rejection but instead found matched
desire. Just then the arch appeared and in walked Captain Janeway checking up
on her crew. She stood there with her hands on her hips and had only one thing
to say.
"I wanted your relationship to cool down, not heat up." Janeway
smiled an all-knowing smirk at the two women covered in mud.
