The Case of The Mysterious Marauder
Recently, I came across a posting on the NHSM classified ads looking for information regarding a Massey Ferguson Marauder. So I e-mailed the owner and asked for some details. The owner, Cory Schindel replyed, describing a machine that had to be a MF Cyclone.  Virtually every detail matched the two Cyclones I had except the name. I asked Cory to send me some photos. They arrived and confirmed my suspicions. It also started a quest for information on this unusual machine.
I contacted many of the people I knew might have some information on this machine. Several people recommended I contact Brad Goodenbour of Brooten MN.
Brad is a wealth of information on the Brutanza Brut, Scorpion Brut and the Massey Cyclone. He was already working on the case, having been in contact with Cory even before I got involved. A small e-mail circle started, several theories developed, thoughts put forth and rehashed, and a search was started for more information.
Posting questions on the New Hampshire Museum website on brought a couple of leads, including an opportunity to buy some NOS Cyclone decals. But this didn't really answer any questions, in fact it raised more. Brad, Cory and I have not come to an answer as of yet and invite you to help. If you have any information at all, please contact me at:

As you can see from the photos, The nameplate seems to be the only difference. Questions include: Are the stripe and name printed on one decal or two separate decal. Are the rivits installed through the stripe or does it cover the heads of the rivits. If the name decal is separate, are the letters on one single piece of vinyl or is each letter a separate piece? If you would like to add your machine [Cyclone or Marauder] to the info database, please contact me and please provide me any model and ID numbers you can find.
