OMG I Met Degrassi!!
OK wow! I've been trying to write in here since I got home on Sunday but the stupid launch hasn't been working. I've been trying every night so I'm guessing it's working now since I'm on it.
Now. Don't scream or get too excitied but........I MET RYAN COOLEY! !! Yes it's true, and if you don't know who he is or recognize him (cause his look has totally changed) he plays JT on Degrassi. Ok, well let me tell you how it happened....On Saturday night, I just happened to be on the Degrassi website and saw a post from the Exec. Producer (who posts all the time) that they were going to the Bluejays game on Sunday and anyone that was going should come and say hi. Well....I yelled to my mom and was like "Mom! Degrassi's coming to the game tomorrow and you didn't even tell me??" and she's like "oh ya, three of them are singing the national anthem" (my mom works for the bluejays if you didn't no.) So I'm like "I HAVE to go into work with you tomorrow mom! Do you know whos dealing with them? Could I possibly meet them??"
So she talked to her friend who deals with the anthem singers and he said that I could go and meet them in the tunnel (off the field) after they sang!!!! So on Sunday when I got there I ran out to the stadium to watch them sing (it turned out to be Cassie Steele (Manny), Andrea Lewis (Hazel), and Danny Clark (Sean). as soon as they finished (they were really good too) I ran into my mom's office and then we both ran to the tunnel in time to see them come off the field. They came up to me and handed me a baseball which they all signed and Danny came up to me and said hello and talked to me about the new season for awhile. So I got my picture with them and then we all rode the elevator up together to the entrance to the stadium where they said goodbye and went to their seats. We saw exactly where they were sitting and so we went back to my mom's office and she printed us off tickets in the area where they and the rest of the cast was sitting. |

So we went down to their section and we were sitting right behind Shane Kippel, Aubrey Graham, Adamo Ruggiero, and Jake Goldsbie! It' so weird to see people you watch on television in real life...it doesn't seem real, even though their just regular teenagers. Even down in the tunnel Cassie Steele was saying to all of us "OMG guys I was soo nervous singing out there" or something like that and Danny said the same thing like "my knees were shaking". Their just regular people. Ya so anyways, those 4 guys were sitting together, to the left of me and a few rows down was Danny and his family (including his brother from the Zach Files) right in front of us were Spike and Caitlin (I can't remember their real names) and like 7 rows in front of me was Ryan! We couldn't find anyone else (not even Cassie and Andrea who I had already met - maybe they were sitting somewhere else?) Anyways, it would be kind of rude to just ask them in the middle of the game for their autograph (and none of them were sitting on the aisle - probably planned) So I was kind of mad cause I really wanted to say something to them. Well we got up to leave during one of the innings and while we were waiting to get back down to our seats, Shane and Jake appear! I was like "perfect!" I walked right up to them and asked them for their autograph - they were kind of shocked, I guess I was the first to ask them. Shane was telling me that he's never signed a baseball before and he asked Jake if it was hard. He said no and so when Shane was signing it he's like "you lier it is hard! it was funny because they were having trouble signing it. So ya, I talked to them, got my picture and went back to our seats. |

Well it was getting to the last innings and i had only gotten a few autographs but I swore to myself that I wasn't leaving until I got Ryans (considereing he plays my favourite character on the show) I was watching him the whole game, it was really funny. Everytime the wave came around he was off by like 3 seconds cause he was eating pizza! haha So just as the game was ending I went to an empty aisle seat and as everyone was leaving I saw him coming up the aisle! (he was wearing one of the new bluejays hat BTW like me - very few have them right now) so ya as he walked passed me I was like "excuse me. Can I please have your autograph!" and we were like right in the middle of the aisle. He gave this big smile and was like "Wow! Really! Sure!" and we sort of pushed our way into a row of empty seats so he could sign my baseball. Then I asked for a picture and he's like "Definately! Oh sure!" And he put his arm around me and pulled me into him. (He sounds so different now - well i knew that cause i saw the crash course but ya and apparently he grew a lot taller but he was only a bit taller than me. I guess he must of been super short) So ya, it was the end of the game and he still had time to do that for me. So he asked me my name and stuff and shook my hand. Well when I got to the top of the aisle I said thank you and he said "hey it was my pleasure!" awww I really wanted to spend more time with all of them and even though I didn't get Aubrey or Adamo's auotgraph I was still super happy with meeting who I did. Ryan and Danny was definately the nicest and I really really really hope I see them again (lol maybe next year at the game - I made my mom swear that she'd tell me the next time they come!) |
