"I can't
believe it's over." Jun sighed as she looked at Jin associating with the other
students who had graduated. She was speaking with some of the other parents.
"They're all grown up."
"I know!" Nina cried into her tissue as Paul
patted her shoulder. "My baby is leaving home!"
"They are not babies
anymore, they are capable adults." Kazuya spoke, then glanced at them. "Some
more then others."
"Yea I mean pretty soon they will be graduating
college and starting their own families." Michelle spoke. Jun and Nina burst
into tears hugging each other.
"I know it's hard to face but it's the
truth." Paul sighed.
"Hell, I'm ready." Baek snickered as he took a big
gulp of champagne. "I have raised him to the best of my ability, I am proud that
he was not gotten a life sentence thus far."
Kazuya laughed along with
Paul.
"It just went by too fast for me." Jun sniffled as she wiped her
tears.
"I know what you mean." Nina nodded. "One day he's playing with
tinker toys the next he is building a computer."
"They're off to
college." Eddy spoke. "It's just time for them to move on. I mean it's a good
thing that they are all going to the same college, so they at least have each
other."
"Julia may not go.' Michelle sighed. "She got an offer to go to
school in the United States. She has until tomorrow to make up her
mind."
"Steve's been packing his bags, he's excited. He has his major
picked, psychology." Paul spoke as he rubbed Nina's shoulder.
"I guess
this is were the reality of it all sets in." Kazuya spoke as he looked at them.
"They really are adults."
"It's bloody over!" Steve cheered as he ran
over to where Jin and Xiaoyu were standing.
Christie bounced over hugging
Xiaoyu.
"No more teachers, no more books!" Xiaoyu sang.
"More
importantly no more tacky ass uniforms!" Christie euphorically said.
"And
no more detention." Hwoarang snickered as he walked over to them. They all
laughed, finally high school was over.
"You know it doesn't feel like we
are in college." Xiaoyu pondered thoughtfully. "I mean I know we just graduated
but it's like time flew by and now it smacked me on the back of my head as this
reminder."
"I swear that's one thing I'm going to miss if I leave- your
analogies." Julia chuckled as she hugged Xiaoyu. "It's like my mom said, first
this, then we will be graduating from college."
"Amen!" Christie
shouted.
"Next thing you know, we'll be getting married and starting our
own families." Julia finished.
Jin's eyes went wide as he started to
choke. Xiaoyu was shocked that she had said that as well. Granted they were
engaged, but no one knew!
"Jin breathe." Xiaoyu spoke softly as she pet
his back, gently.
Hwoarang looked over at him and saw something reflect
off of one of Xiaoyu's fingers. He gasped. "No way!"
"What?" Christie
asked confused.
"Nothing, nothing at all." Hwoarang snickered amused.
Once Jin stopped choking, Hwoarang shot him a look that clearly read 'I am going
to make your life a living hell' amused look. "Funny that we engage in these
kind of conversations." He clearly accented the word engage.
Xiao and Jin
looked at him for a second a bit nervous.
"What go you mean Hwo?" Steve
asked curiously as he sipped the soda.
"Well it feels as though as of
late that we have been married to our own secrets." Hwoarang smirked as he
carefully chose his words.
"Yea it does feel like that we have been
married to our own secrets." Christie pondered. "And that's weird since we never
keep any secrets from each other."
"I know." Hwoarang emphasized. "I
guess the ring is on a different finger now."
"I bet." Christie chuckled.
"We gotta roll, I get to meet Steve's grandparents."
"Ooo meeting the
parents." Julia laughed. "This I gotta see." Julia finished as the three of them
walked off.
Hwoarang then faced Xiaoyu and Jin with one of those creepy
smiles.
"Ok, Hwo what game are you playing?" Xiaoyu asked.
"I
would like to ask you the same thing." Hwoarang countered as he picked Xiaoyu's
hand up to show the ring on her left hand.
"How'd that get there?" Jin
asked as he eyed the ring.
"Oh I don't know maybe a certain hair gel
addicted friend of mine, got down on one knee and asked her 'Will you marry me?"
then she said yes making the two of you engaged?" Hwoarang spoke in a sarcastic
tone.
"No I don't think that's it." Xiaoyu nodded.
"I agree with
her." Jin seconded.
"Look I am a redhead not blonde!" Hwoarang corrected
them.
"Well when you sit in the sun you get blonde highlights." Xiaoyu
added with a grin.
"I know you all are engaged!" Hwoarang sighed with a
smile. "Congratulations." He paused for a moment. "Even though you never told
me, I mean what am I nothing."
"I'm sorry Hwo." Xiaoyu laughed as she
hugged him.
"You guys families know?" Hwoarang asked
curiously.
"No we haven't told anyone." Jin spoke.
"You are the
only person who knows." Xiaoyu added.
"So have you all started planning
anything, is there even a date set?" Hwoarang asked. They both shook there
heads, signaling that they haven't.
"I think we need to work on telling
everyone first." Jin laughed.
"Well you better hurry it up." Hwoarang
told them.
"Why?" Xiaoyu laughed.
"Because the sooner you tell
them, then sooner you'll get married." Hwoarang smiled. "And then." He said as
he rubbed Xiaoyu's stomach. "Little Jin can be born."
Xiaoyu whacked him
on the back of the head and proceeded to chase him
around.
