"Hwo!" Julia
squealed as she happily sat next to him in the park near the
fountain.
"My name is Hwoarang." He corrected her.
"But I like to
call you Hwo." Julia smiled hugging him. "What you going?"
"I am making
paper boats." Hwoarang showed her.
"Can you make me one?" Julia asked
sweetly as she batted her tiny little eye lashes.
"Sure." Hwoarang said
taking a piece of paper out of his beg and folding a quick boat for the small
girl that stood next to him. Julia happily took the boat and placed it in the
water.
"Hey it sails!" Julia said happily as she watched it float
away.
"Someday I am going to own a boat." Hwoarang told her.
"You
already own a few boats." Julia smiled.
"Where?" Hwoarang questioned as
he looked around.
"Right there all those little boats." Julia giggled as
she pointed out the little boats that were floating along.
"I mean a real
one." Hwoarang laughed.

"What's wrong?"
Eight-year-old Julia Chang asked as she found her friend sitting in the corner
of the classroom. All the other children were in the cafeteria for the Mother's
Day Lunch In. "Why aren't you in the cafeteria?"
"I don't have a mommy
anymore." Hwoarang cried as he held his face in his hands.
"I'm sorry."
Julia told him hugging him.
"It's not fair, why'd she have to die?"
Hwoarang wailed as he hugged her.
"She's an angel now." Julia told him.
"Now she can be with her always you."
"Really?" Hwoarang asked
curiously.
"Yea see, when I was younger my grandmamma died in a fire at
my village, and my mama told be now she's an angel. My mama said that well she
is an angel that can watch over me and now your mama can be your angel." Julia
told him.
"So she still loves me?" Hwoarang asked as he wiped his eyes.
Julia smiled as she walked over to the teacher's desk snagging a tissue and
drying his tears.
"Of course she does, it was just time for her to be an
angel. She didn't love because she doesn't love you but she left cause it was
her time to an angel." Julia told him hugging him again. "I love you and I'll be
here for you."
"You won't leave me, right?" Hwoarang asked
sniffling.
"Of course not." Julia smiled. "I'll always be sure best
friend."

"Would you like to dance with
me?" Julia asked as she walked over to the other side of the gym.
"Naw
that's ok." Hwoarang said shaking his head.
"Come on Hwo, dance with me!"
Julia smiled as she pulled him out of his chair and wrapped his arms around her
waist. "It's ok I don't bite." Julia giggled as she moved in closer on
him.
Hwoarang smiled as he danced with Julia slowly. He smiled. Julia
looked at him and chuckled a bit as she leaned in kissing him
softly.
"Thanks for the dance." Hwoarang smirked as they
separated.

Present
Day----###
"Hey." Julia smiled as she sat in the park, the same spot
where they hung out as children.
"Hey there." Hwoarang smiled as he
launched another paper boat.
"Hwo we need to talk." Julia sighed looking
at him. "I got an acceptance letter from Arizona State."
"You going?"
Hwoarang asked with a pang of hurt in her voice.
"I might." Julia
shrugged.
"Well I hope you're happy where ever you go." Hwoarang blandly
said.
"So you're not going to stop me?" Julia yelled outraged. Her
boyfriend, who supposedly loved her, was not going to stop her from
leaving.
"If that's what you want, then who am I to stop you?" Hwoarang
told her sorrowfully.
"I don't know what I want." Julia admitted confused
as ever.
