"They what?" Hwoarang asked
curiously as he and Jin hung out at the mall.
"Seriously, they want me to
bring Xiaoyu over for dinner on our first date." Jin said as he shook his
head.
"I am thankful that my father didn't want me to do that when I
first asked Julia out." Hwoarang snickered. "But I feel your pain. Is your
family really that bad?"
"No it's worse then I ever thought it could be."
Jin said shaking his head. "I was traumatized when I met them."
"Ok well
maybe it won't be that bad." Hwoarang said trying to be a bit optimistic about
it. "Well how long does dinner last?"
"At least 45 minutes with all the
talk that goes on." Jin answered. "But my mom said afterward she'd let us go out
for ice cream."
"Xiao, is pretty accepting." Hwoarang said nodding. "I
mean it can't be that bad."
"You know those rumors about my father being
thrown into the volcano by his father?" Jin asked curiously.
"Yea what
about them." Hwoarang said. He was familiar with those stories and his father
had refused to even speak to him about it when Hwoarang would ask.
"Well
they are true." Jin said a laughing a bit. "Hell, I'm lucky that my father and I
get along. Then my uncle is adopted and let's just leave it as he acts just like
Forest only ten times worse. So what were you saying about my family not being
as bad as I think it is?"
"You know what; if I were then I wouldn't make
any long term relationship plans cause after that there goes your shot at
marriage." Hwoarang said patting Jin on the back.
"Why does everyone say
that we are going to get married?" Jin asked sighing.
"Because we all
know it's true." Hwoarang said. "For the sake of all it took you all this time
to ask her out and finally you do and then if she is not freaked out by your
family then you know it was meant to be."
"You know you are really
starting to bother me." Jin said as he looked at Hwoarang.
"You only say
that because you that I am right." Hwoarang said with a grin plastered on his
face.
"Ok I have no idea what to wear to his house for dinner." Xiaoyu
said as she rummaged through her closet. Julia and Christie were there to help
her.
"Well let's see what we have to work with." Christie said looking in
her closet trying to help her friend out. "First thing is for sure you need to
find something that would make his family like you and Jin go crazy at the same
time so suggest a skirt and a nice shirt, maybe a tank top."
"Yea and I
am thinking that you should wear your hair down." Julia said toying with
Xiaoyu's hair. "No I have got it, you can keep your pigtails and but them in
messy buns."
"Yea and not to much make-up cause I think that parents hate
when kids were too much make up." Christie said pulling things out of Xiaoyu's
closet. After and hour of looking and also primping, Xiaoyu was ready to
go.
"Ok you guys what do you think?" Xiaoyu asked stepping out of her
room. She had on a light pink long skirt with a slit that came to about a few
inches above her knee, yellow form fitting tank tip with a soft fitting mesh top
over the tank top, her in hair the buns and also white
sandals.
"Perfect." Julia squealed.
"Our little girl is growing
up." Christie said with mock tears.
"Wish me luck." Xiaoyu said as they
walked out of her house and they went there separate ways.
"Good luck."
Julia and Christie said as they watched Xiaoyu walk to Jin's house since it
wasn't that far away.
"Ok mom, please don't embarrass me." Jin said as he
followed his mother around the large living room.
"Awww my little boy is
growing up so fast." Jun said looking at Kazuya then hugging Jin. "First he's on
a date then he'll be growing up and getting married and then moving out on
us."
"Lucky him." Kazuya said to himself. "Look I still don't understand
why the girl had to come over here. For God's sake this is the boy's first date.
He should've have to spend it with us."
"Well I want Xiaoyu to meet the
rest of the family." Jun said as she walked to the dining room.
"Well
please don't get the photo album out and those embarrassing stories about when
we were children." Jin said sighing. "I know I grew up with her we do not need
to take a stroll down memory lane."
"Do you really think that I would
embarrass you?" Jun asked turning to face Jin.
"Yes, yes I do." Jin said
sitting in one of the chairs in the hallway.
"Oh don't worry if she
doesn't then your grandfather or your uncle Lee will." Kazuya said as he looked
at Jin.
"Hon, don't joke with the boy like that." Jun said nudging
him.
"Who the hell said I was joking?" Kazuya asked looking at Jun.
"Think about this, the old fogy is my father and my adopted brother is well you
know- a little monkey in the bushes." Kazuya said as one of the butlers walked
into the room.
"A Ling Xiaoyu is here to see the young master." He bowed
as Xiaoyu stepped into the room.
"Hey Xiao." Jin said rushing over to
her.
"Hey Jin." Xiaoyu said hugging him. "This place is huge." Xiaoyu
said looking around in what was just one of the many hallways that the mansion
held.
"Xiao, you know my mother and father." Jin said. He looked at them
as if to say don't say anything embarrassing about me or do
anything.
"Hello." Xiaoyu greeted a little shy.
"Nice to see you
again Xiaoyu." Kazuya said politely.
"Yea." Jun said deciding not to say
anything really. Things went pretty silent until it was time for dinner. They
all stood at there respective places at the table and waited for Heihachi to
make his entrance.
"Xiao, that's my uncle." Jin said pointing to the man
with the white hair and loud purple outfit. "He's adopted."
"Oh." Xiaoyu
nodded understanding. As she did that an elderly man walked into the room a bald
shiny head but with spiky hair from the sides only grey, not to mention he was
very wrinkled.
"You all may sit." He said as he took his place at the
head of the table. "I see we have company." Heihachi said looking over in
Xiaoyu's direction.
"Yes grandfather, this is Xiaoyu, a friend of mine."
Jin said answering his grandfather.
"You seem familiar." Heihachi said
narrowing his eyes at her.
"I think you know my Uncle Wang." Xiaoyu said
as she took a sip of water.
"You're Wang's niece?" Heihachi asked
shocked. Xiaoyu nodded. "So you're the great student I heard about. I take it
you will be participating in future tournaments."
"Maybe sir." Xiaoyu
answered. Jin looked over at his father with wide eyes.
"Don't scare the
poor girl away." Kazuya said to his father.
"Yea dad, leave her alone."
Lee said eating some of his food.
"At least Jin has someone to scare
away." Heihachi said snapping his head in that direction. "Where's your
girlfriend?"
"For the last time dad he doesn't swing that way." Kazuya
snickered.
"Kazuya, be nice." Jun said hitting him. "We have company."
Jun said referring to Xiaoyu.
"At least I wasn't thrown into a volcano by
my own father." Lee said smiling at Kazuya.
"Well your other family
didn't want you and I can see why you little fruit cake." Kazuya said
evilly.
"At least I am adopted. Meaning that I was wanted, you were just
a mistake, he tried to get rid of you not me." Lee said laughing.
"This
always happens." Jin whispered to Xiaoyu.
"Well don't worry I'll get rid
of you in time." Kazuya said laughing as he played with his steak knife. "As
soon as the old fogy dies this little empire is mine. In order for you to get it
I have to be dead and so does Jin that is if Jin doesn't have a son by
then."
"Dad." Jin said growled looking at him.
"What you and your
little girlfriend better get busy with those grandchildren before the old fogy
dies, or he'll never see them." Lee laughed.
"Maybe they will get to have
wedding. I mean we didn't." Jun said happily.
"I know at least, well
hopefully their kid won't be conceived in the back seat of a convertible."
Heihachi said taking a shot of his drink.
"For your information my old
convertible didn't have a back seat." Kazuya said with a smirk. "And what me and
my wife do is none of your business."
"Especially on the dining room
table." Heihachi said smiling as he took a sip of his wine. Everyone looked at
the table in disgust.
"Oh look at the time; me and Xiaoyu are going for
ice cream." Jin said grabbing Xiaoyu's hand as they ran out of the
mansion.
"That's just wrong." Lee said disgusted.
"Well at least I
wasn't having it rammed up the ass like you and your sick boyfriend in the
kitchen." Kazuya accused.
"Children enough!" Heihachi yelled.
"You
started it." Lee said whining.
"I am so sorry about that." Jin said as
they walked down the street with there ice cream.
"That's quite alright."
Xiaoyu smiled. "I understand, sometimes family can be a little
embarrassing."
"You're not freaked out?" Jin asked as they
stopped.
"Naw, I've heard worse, well just not yet." Xiaoyu laughed as
they stopped at her house. "I'll see you tomorrow, ok?"
"Alright." Jin
said as they stood on her front porch. Xiaoyu smiled and leaned in and gave him
a kiss goodnight.
"See ya." She giggled walking into her house. "Hey
Uncle."
"Xiao, I have wonderful news." He said walking out into the
living room. "We are going back to China."
"What?" Xiaoyu asked. "For how
long?"
"Oh we are going back to stay." Wang said. "We are leaving in a
week so get your things together."
"But we can't, I like it here in
Japan. I mean I have school, my friends." Xiaoyu said in disbelief. She had
finally had Jin and now he was being taken away from her.
"Well we'll
find you a new school and plenty of new friends in China." Wang said leaving her
in the living room.
