Jin raced down the hall. His heart led the way with his
mind and common sense dragging behind him. That was something about Xiaoyu she
forced him to follow his heart and intuition over the 'sensible' things his mind
told him. He burst into her room without a second thought and he was welcomed by
the darkness. He looked over to see the curtains open, but to no avail the light
that graced the stars did not choose to grace their presence in her room. His
hand traveled to the side of the wall in search of the light switch, when found
he flicked it, no light. Letting his heart take over, he took confident strides
into her room, letting his heart guide him to her. He walked and walked what
seemed like miles without knocking into any furniture or Panda. He was sure that
at some point there would be some obstacle in his way. He reached is hands out
and felt nothing but the cool air slapping his hands in rejection. In short time
he saw Xiaoyu, she was about 45 feet away from him. Her body was bathed in
light.
"Xiaoyu!" Jin yelled. Xiaoyu smiled at him and began to jog over
to him. As soon as she got a few feet away from him she was stopped at what
seemed to be a force field of electricity. She ran right into the force. Bright
streams of blues and purples enveloped her porcelain frame much to the horror of
Jin. Pain etched her beautiful face so much her screams never came. Slowly she
sank to the floor, eyes open but glossed with death. Jin panicked and rushed to
her, holding her in his arms.
"Jin, Jin what's going on?" Xiaoyu asked
sleepily. Jin looked down and in his arms was Xiaoyu was half-awake and safely
in his arms.
"Nothing, you alright?" Jin asked, he was
confused.
"Yea, why wouldn't I be?" Xiaoyu asked titling her head to the
side. She leaned up and kissed him passionately. With the passion and love Jin
felt in the kiss came the nightmares and visions. Jin broke away from
her.
"I can't do this, I can't hurt you." Jin said looking into her
chocolate eyes.
"What?" Xiaoyu asked with a hoarse voice.
"I can't
hurt you, I won't let another person I love be hurt because of me." Jin said
almost like a promise to himself.
"I am not hurting, you've never hurt
me." Xiaoyu said taking Jin's face in her hands and making him focus his
attention on her. "Listen to me, the only person who is hurting at the moment is
you. Jin, you know I trust you but I wish with my life, my heart, and my soul. I
just wish you could trust yourself." Jin took a good look at Xiaoyu, he never
broke eye contact from her. With a blink of his eyes the memories came rolling
back. He saw his mother in Xiaoyu's eyes, he remembered when he couldn't protect
her. He saw his mother's pained expression in Xiaoyu, which was it.
"No,
I can't do this to you." Jin sighed, backing away from her. "And I'm not." Jin
said leaving the room.
Ok I am at a lost for words! I know what you're
thinking, I have lost my mind! Well you can't lose what ya don't have. laughs
