"Amber?"
Rey asked touching her cheek. "Come on stay with me." Rey pleaded as Amber
slowly closed her eyes. Her breathing began ragged and heavy. Amber focused her
eyes on Rey and held his hand with a forced smile on her face.
"I love
you." Amber said closing her eyes, and her arm went limp. Rey panicked at this.
She looked like she had stopped breathing.
"Help!" Rey screamed as tried
to wake Amber up. He watched as the paramedics ran out to the ring to assist
him.
"We have to ask you move away." The referee said dragging Rey away
from Amber. Rey followed them, he knew they were going Amber not hurt her. As
Rey walked with the referees he locked eyes with HHH. Hunter smirked and then
gave him a twisted laugh. Rey charged at him, but too only be held back by the
referees.
"How to you like your bitch now?" Hunter yelled as he walked by
an infuriated Rey. The referees were loosing their hold on him, until Jeff and
Rob came out and literally picked him up and carried him to the back, where they
had already taken Amber to.
"Ok, we know you're pissed but kicking his
ass is not helping Amber." Jeff said putting him down. "You calm?" Rey didn't
even bother to answer him, he took off to the back parking lot. When he got
there he was witnessed them loading Amber unto the ambulance.
"Can I ride
with her?" Rey shouted as he sprinted over to them.
"I don't think so,
she's in critical condition." The trainer said walking over to Rey. "They're
taking her to the hospital right around the corner."
"Hey how ya holding
up?" Jeff asked sitting across from Rey. Jeff had found Rey sitting a chair in
the emergency room lobby. Rey had been waiting for almost 3 hours.
"At
this point it really doesn't matter how I'm doing." Rey said
sorrowfully.
"You know damn well more then I do, Amber is going to make
it through this. She's a tough nut to crack. You know it takes more then a
sledgehammer to get to her." Jeff said, smirking a little, trying to cheer Rey
up.
"I know but it I can't stand to see her hurt. I love her too much."
Rey sighed. "I was going to ask her to marry me, tonight." That caught Jeff off
guard. "This scares me that now I know that our time together could be short, it
may end now."
"Don't start with that shit with me." Jeff said shaking his
head. "You two are freakishly in love ok. I know it's not over, so sit there and
start planing the wedding."
"Amber Flair?" A doctor came out into the
lobby. Rey instantly noticed his scrub suit with blood on it. He thought of
Amber immediately.
"Yea." Rey asked looking at him.
"You should
sit down." The doctor said softly. Rey followed his words. "I'm
sorry."
