Cupid: Public enemy #1
A/N: Ok this is because I am an extremely
bitter person when it comes to Valentines Day so this is a way I can have
something nice to say about it instead of being so totally bitter
about.
Disclaimer: I own
nothing.

Prologue
"I do not." Spike grumbled as he moved away from Trish.
"Aww come
on you know you like her." Trish said as she teased him some more. "We all know
you do so stop denying it." Trish said as simple as that. She was teasing him
because Trish had noticed that ever since her best friend, Ariel, came from an
independent circuit Spike hadn't been able to keep his eyes off of
her.
"Now who is this 'we all'?" Spike asked smirking at her. Trish then
looked at his brothers and grinned.
"I ain't in it." D-von said holding
his hands up in defense.
"Well I have noticed you making eyes at her."
Bubba said trying to hide the creeping smile on his face.
"They were
friendly." Spike said in his defense. But all the stares that he received at
that moment, told all. They were not buying a word that he was saying. "I
consider her to be a very close friend to me."
"But are you looking to
make her an even closer friend?" Trish asked curiously.
"You know if I
answer that then I will be digging a deeper hole for myself, so I will not even
comment." Spike said. He knew how to reply to Trish's smart remarks so that he
wouldn't make himself look any worse then he already did. He hated to admit it
but he did start to feel something for Ariel but after the whole incident with
Molly he didn't want the same thing to end up with him and Ariel, if there would
ever be something between the two of them.
"So in other words you like
her but you don't want to tell us because you know we'll make fun of you when
Ariel is around." D-von explained. "But then again I'm not in
it."
"Whatever." Spike sighed.
"Hello everyone." Ariel said as she
walked into the locker room and sitting right next to Spike. "You guys ready for
our match?"
"Yea." Spike said kind of in a trance.
"Remember you
two please be careful." Trish pleaded.
"We will." Spike said draping an
arm over Ariel's shoulder.
"Ariel, what's with the trench coat?" Bubba
asked looking at the black trench coat.
"Oh I wanted to preview this ring
attire." Ariel squealed as she took the trench coat off. She revealed a red
halter-top, black camouflage short shorts, and red boots. Ariel was short, long
curly dirty blonde hair, and green eyes. "Like?"
"Love." Spike said
trying to control himself from drooling right then and there.
"Oh ok well
we'll see you both after the match." Ariel said as she and Spike walked out the
locker room to there intergender match against Steven Richards and
Victoria.
"I just got the most brilliant idea." Trish squealed as she
pranced around the locker room.
"I'm afraid." Bubba said looking at D-von
for help. Trish playfully smacked his shoulder.
"NO this is an awesome
idea!" Trish said proudly. "Seeing as next Monday is Valentines Day and since I
have nothing better to do, or anyone for that matter then I have decided to take
it on myself to set the two of them up."
"Must you play Cupid?" D-von
asked. "I mean did it ever occur to you that if they liked each other enough
that something would one day click for them to be together without your noisy
ass inferring."
"I will play Cupid and you two will be Cupid's helper."
Trish said with her eyes glowing with mischief.
"Trish it's a bad idea."
Bubba warned, as Trish was rambling about what she was planning to do to set
them up.
"She's long gone." D-von sighed as they watched Trish ramble.
They knew her intentions were good but playing Cupid's little helpers was going
to be a real kick in the ass.
"Wait, just how is she going to get Spike
and Ariel together?" Bubba questioned as he and D-von watched the
monitor.
"I don't wanna know." D-von sighed running his
head.
