Breed

This is skitch's page for games.

Breed

(PC, release - 2nd half 2002)

This looks like its going to be pretty much the coolest game ever, beating even Battlefield 1942 (which I picked up on the date it came out, and have been playing nonstop since). I've seen 3 trailers, all of which are incredible. If you're interested, there's fansites here and here, and of course, there's the Official Site. screenshots abound at all the sites, as well as features lists, so it shouldn't be hard to get you wanting it too.

GTA:Vice City

(PS2)

Just picked up an issue of PSM cuzza the VC preview. Wow. Motorcycles, beautiful water, shooting out tires, helicopters. *drools*

*update* It's out, I have it, and I love it. bwahaha.

Bloodrayne

(PS2)

Sexy redhead half vampire chick with bullet time killing demons and nazis with lots of guns, and cool looking swords.

Kung Fu 3.0

(PC, release - unknown)

Not a game, but a mod. For Max Payne. Kung Fu, stickfighting, and bullet time. How cool is that?

Unreal Tournament 2003

(PC)

Classic UT madness with some beatiful graphics, new weapons and a new game mode. Bombing run. HOO BOY is that fun. Both teams start equadistant from the "ball", which is actually a bomb. When a player picks up the ball, they have no means of offense or defense. all the can do is run, and pass. Each team has a goal, suspended above a pit of death. Shooting the ball the ball through the goal gets your team 3 points, while jumping through with the ball nets you 7 points, at the expensive of your life. (altho the death looks really cool, thanks to the bars interspersed through the pit, and the fact that your body goes limp when you die.) DM, just like in UT, is insane. Insanely fun, non-stop gore-fest. If you like FPS's, grab the demo.

Battlefield 1942

(PC)

FPS, with vehicles. Very cool. Very cool indeed. Check out the official site, or bf1942files.com.

Neverwinter Nights

(PC)

I got the Collecter's Edition of Diablo 2, which included a Diablo 2 version of the tabltop RPG Dungeons and Dragons. Played a few times with my friends, but they didn't seem to like it as much as I did, so I didn't get to play that much. Heard about Neverwinter Nights, and how it used 3rd edtion DnD rules. At first I thought I wouldn't like it, since i'm not a big fan of turn based games. Then I found out it's real time, so I picked it up. And I'm glad I did.

Kingpin

(PC)

Read through the Penny Arcade archives again the other day, saw this strip, so I decided to check out the demo. It uses a modified Quake 2 engine, and has some nice features. NPC's aren't all hostile. The first guy I came across said he'd give me a crowbar for a dollar. I didn't have a dollar, having just been mugged, so i killed the next guy, and his girlfriend, netting me 6 bucks. Bought the crowbar for a dollar, then killed the guy with it and took my dollar back. Ha. You can also hire people, for varying prices. From what I saw in the demo, it looks to be a fairly cool game. I wish i could find a store that carried it....
