Excess Baggage
Rating: Four
This movie is a really cool movie to watch. The way everything pulls itself together and the amount of good scenes put in one movie is amazing. It starts you off in what could've been the middle, but works out better as the beginning. A good solid film.
What Women Want
Rating Four
Possibly the best "lets give Mel Gibson a supernatural ability" movie I've seen. It's all funny and well thought out. It's somewhere on my list of movies that everyone should watch. Not as high up as say, The Breakfast Club or Vampire Hutner D, but definitely a good movie.
Meet The Parents
Rating: Four
This is a great comedy. Ben Stiller's performance was great, as was Robert DeNiro's. Its kind of off the wall and suttle at the same time. The family's jokes are all dumb though. The airport scene is funny, the whole movie is, in fact. Stop reading this and rent it. Or buy it or whatever the hell it is you do when you want to see a movie.
The Craft
Rating: Three
This movie has a lot to do with occult stuff and evil. Needless to say, that was the cool part (and there were other nice aspects oof it ;o)). But the story itself was dumb, and some of the dialogues were cheesy. If you're into occult and wiccan, you may enjoy it more than I did, but I don't reccommend it.
Freddy Got Fingered
Rating: Four
This is a pretty sick comedy. Kind of a cross between a long Tom Green episode and a 70s British Porno. It's still funny, especially the beginning and the "Backwards Man" bit. I couldn't bring myself to watch it again, though. Wait... Yes I could.
Double Jeopardy
Rating: Five
This movie is amazing. Its got suspense, action, New Orleans, and that hot chick. You know the one. Definitely on my must see list.
Cabin by the Lake
Rating: Two
This film is the worst, most poorly made cheap horror movie ever. I haven't watched a B-movie in a long time, and now I know why. The whole cast is poorly portrayed and the acting was horrid. The Characters were cynical and predictable. I don't know why anyone bothered to make this movie.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Rating: Five
This is and excellent movie. The dubbing job wasn't too bad, either. The plot is kind of confusing, but you'll eventually understand. The translation on both the dubbed and subtitled versions were very well done, and were there were few differences. If you haven't seen it yet, rent it.
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
Rating: Five
The long awaited folow up film to the 1985 classic anime, Vampire Hunter D. This time out, D is up against a host of foes, including Meier Link, the Marcus brothers, and a large group of Meier Link's monstrous guards. Throughout the film, his enemy becomes less clear and less evil than he thinks. I thought it wouldn't live up to the first one, but I was very wrong. If you like anime, or vampires, ar vampire animes, watch this film.
40 Days and 40 Nights
Rating: Four
This movie is great. It has a good cast, a decent story and a lot of humour. I have to give it a four, though, on principal that the film screwed up when I went to see it, and the fact that some of the movie was filler. Well, either way, go see it, because it's worth seeing.
Vanilla Sky
Rating: Six
This is possibly the best movie I've seen in a long time. Watch it. If I say anything about the plot or characters, the movie will be at least a bit spoiled. Now go! Rent this movie, and
Worship the comic!
