I'm writing this because I now realize a truth that can only be truly learned through achievement. A lot of people wonder what a good friend is. Tonight, I found the answer, and I was surprised. While talking to an ICQ contact about a recent event, we'd gotten into a conversation about how well we know each other. The fact is, we've almost known each other for a year now. Actually, she checked, and it will be a year as of October 30. But as I read that, I realized that a friend doesn't have to be the guy you always joke with and goof about with, or that girl that knows you better than anyone, or the guy you know you can trust. Its not always that person you used to hate, or those people who watched you screw up and laugh about it with you, or people that help you do something. Friends are people you feel in your heart and have a place there. Your life is what you make of it, but the people you call friend can help you decide the correct path to choose, and if they aren't really your friend, you'll know, because they don't have a place in your heart.
This is dedicated to all the people I call friend, you are all in there, and you all count. Let every choice you make lead you to the best life you can live.
